We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Manager - EMEA to oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing a team of accountants, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and proven leadership skills.
What you will be doing
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for the EMEA region, particularly Denmark, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Coordinate with Denmark and US finance teams to consolidate financial data and ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Compliance:
- Stay abreast of changes in local tax laws and accounting regulations across EMEA countries.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and work with external auditors to facilitate audits.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals in Denmark, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance the team s skills.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
- Implement best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of the accounting function.
- Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Periodically assess the effectiveness of internal controls and implement improvements as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What we will require of you

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Thorough understanding of IFRS and local GAAP in the EMEA region (particularly Denmark and UK).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Navision or similar software is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple time zones to meet the needs of a global business.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
DKK 720,000-890,000 per-year-salary
Base pay will depend on the position, individual qualifications, market, and other operational business needs.
