We are looking for a talented Group Financial Controller to our headquarter in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, who besides normal controlling tasks would like to take part in developing and improving our global financial reporting system, SAP BPC, and optimizing our reporting processes.

When joining Group Accounts and Tax, you will be part of The Group Financial Controlling and Compliance Team. The team is responsible for the Groups external financial reporting and has a central role as sparring partner for the group’s CFO, Divisions, investor relations and local management responsible for the subsidiaries’ financial reporting. You will work with dedicated and experienced finance professionals who are characterized by and committed to work with high professional standards and always adapting to a busy, changing and challenging environment. The team are continuously improving our reporting processes involving our global reporting system SAP BPC.

Working alongside experienced colleagues you deliver ongoing support and training to DFDS’s subsidiaries as well as to other group functions and management. The primarily focus of the role includes:

Your see the big picture but are able to zoom in on details when required. It is important that you can work independently and take great responsibility. You must expect some business travel – estimated 20 days per year.

Main responsibilities
Working alongside experienced colleagues you deliver ongoing support and training to DFDS’s subsidiaries as well as to other group functions and management. The primarily focus of the role includes:
- Developing our global financial reporting system SAP BPC and optimizing our reporting processes
- Financial controlling of subsidiaries, including controller visits
- Participating in preparing consolidated accounts for the DFDS group in accordance with IFRS
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS, Danish accounting requirements and stock exchange requirement
- Participating in developing and maintaining the group’s accounting policies and updating the groups Finance Manual in accordance with IFRS
- Participating in the preparation of internal financial reports and analysis for top management
- Participating in ad-hoc analysis and group projects
Your profile
We imagine you have experience from a similar function in an international company. Your positive, systematic and analytic way to work ensures that you strive to find the best solution to a process or problem, no matter the tasks. Your see the big picture but are able to zoom in on details when required. It is important that you can work independently and take great responsibility. You must expect some business travel – estimated 20 days per year.
More specifically, you:
- Have excellent Excel skills
- Have relevant education such as cand.merc.aud., HD(R) or similar
- Preferably have around 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
- Have good communication skills and speak and write English fluently
- Experience with SAP BPC or other consolidation systems is an advantage
