Financial Controller

2021 in DFDS just started with a DKK 2.2.bn acquisition of a big logistic company, and our outlook and roadmap for the coming years contains interesting projects, and you will be a part of the team ensuring a smooth financial integration. Further you will have the opportunity to make your mark on the financial process in general. We are looking for a talented Finance Controller to join our headquarters in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.

The team is responsible for the Groups external financial reporting and has a central role as sparring partner for the group’s CFO, Divisions, investor relations and local management responsible for the subsidiaries’ financial reporting. We value a performance environment with equal parts humor and professionalism, where everyone contributes and supports each other in reaching our goals.
Main responsibilities
You will be a part of a team, preparing monthly and quarterly controlling, consolidation, and reporting under IFRS. Upholding of Group Accounting Polices, SOP’s, including new accounting standards will also be a part of your tasks. You will contribute to the preparation of consolidated IFRS reporting to the Stock Exchange, including the full annual report and supporting presentation for management.
The team also takes part in developing and improving our global financial reporting system, SAP BPC, and optimizing our reporting processes. On-site financial controlling visits and reporting of findings will also be a part of the job. Furthermore, you will participate in testing our new ERP and consolidation systems.
Preferred candidate profile
We imagine that you have experience in the financial controlling and accounting field, able to see the big picture but in general have the ability and interest to zoom in on and work with the important details. You can expect some business travel – estimated 10-15 days per year.

- You have Master’s degree in finance or accounting
- 2-4 years of relevant, professionally associated experience in a big 4 audit firm
- English fluency
- Experience with SAP BPC or other consolidation systems
- Preferably good Excel skills
- Preferably sharp analytic skills
- Some experience from IFRS
