As Operational Business Controller for Operations in BC Hospitality Group, you will oversee and monitor the Operations’ financial performance across BC Hospitality Group, sharing the organization’s performance with relevant PnL owners and Support functions.
You are expected to perform financial analysis, develop financial planning processes, design and implement business plans and tools to support the operational teams performance. Alongside financial analysis you will maintain and use relevant data for further feasibility & sustainability as per the company’s requirements.
You will report directly to The Executive Director of Strategic Operations.

Opgaver
Duties & Expectations
- Administer Hotel and BC Operations units to analyze financial risks and recommend effective solutions.
- Analyze the operational performance and work to achieve higher efficiency targets
- Construct tools which are uniform across the units and can support the operations & management
- Oversee month end results and keep the units in line with the expected budgets
- Provide backhand support in streamlining the procedures & develop cost saving controls
- Be the link between Operations and Executive management from financial standpoint
- Challenge financial spending and resources used to carry out the operations.
In close collaboration with procurement and legal functions in the Group
- Analyze and evaluate the relevant contracts to ensure efficient spending is being done.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements from an operational standpoint.
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
Responsibility & Authority
- Develop and execute monthly Production performance matrix for Operational units.
- Develop and execute monthly Menu Engineering for units to reflect on their performance
- Keeps units in check with their payroll forecast; deviations to be closely monitored and improved
- Work out monthly/weekly/daily revenue and payroll targets for units to adapt & perform better

Professional Skills, Knowledge & Experience (Relevant for position)
- Previous experience in Business Controlling, Financial Management, F&B and Operations is preferred but not limited.
- Knowledge of Hotel & Office systems – Micros, Opera, TimePlan, SharePoint, MS- Office
- Proven record of Controlling, achieving efficiency targets, strategic decision making is beneficial
- Education in Hospitality Management / Financial Management is ideal
Personal & Social Skills
- Prepared to be self-motivated and able to transform lose defined tasks into precise and specific proposals and suggestions.
- You must be a strategic and analytical thinker who is driven by results for the company as well as your personal growth.
- Must be able to innovate & develop creative financial solutions based on collected and analyzed data.
- Have the foresight to spot risks and quickly adapt to the situation
- Be able to say NO when decisions/ procedures are counter productive
