Welcome to the world of production finances
You will join the Global Production Supply and Quality Finance team (GPS & Quality Finance), where we have the financial responsibility and Business Partnering support for the total Production, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain Organization.
As Business Controller, it will be part of your overall focus to bring transparency into the production and product costs. Your work will contribute to increasing production efficiency across Xellia’s international production sites in Copenhagen, Hungary, US, and our joint-venture setup in China. Furthermore, we have global inventories in constant flow between own sites and warehouses as well as with CMO’s, which we also control.
We will train and guide you into the world of production finance and, as you grow in the position, you will get your own tasks and responsibilities.
You will:
- Analyze production performance in order to improve unit costs of Xellia products, incl. variance and destruction analysis and journal entries
- Support the month end production performance, incl. management reporting and controlling
- Participate in month end meetings with production managers where we compare actuals versus budget figures and decide if actions are needed
- Prepare budgets and estimates, production volumes, OPEX and manning, where we make four forecasts each year
- Support the Senior Business Controller in cost price maintaining and simulations
- Be part of the maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOMS) and Routings in the ERP system
- Work with global inventories together with our Inventory Controller
- Participate in external and internal audits
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support the operations
We are based at the Xellia HQ in Copenhagen, where you will join five finance professionals. In addition, we also have one colleague in Hungary and in the US.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for a profile with solid interest and major motivation for production finance, incl. numbers and systems. As you will join a minor company in transformation, you must thrive in an environment without a full set of optimized working instructions, systems, tools and processes, as you will contribute to the development of all this. We will need to pave the road as we drive it, so to speak. This calls for your overview in combination with your structured way of working, and your ability to handle setbacks with good spirit and your belief in that there is always a way forward.
As you will work in close collaboration with your colleagues in GPS, you must be able to establish a constructive dialogue based on understandable communication that makes sense to non-financials.
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- 1-3 years of experience. Experience from a production company is an advantage
- a master’s degree in Finance, Management Accounting or similar
- high ambitions and want to become one of the best within your area
- good analytical skills and a strong interest in production finance
- motivation in turning numbers into action
- a drive to challenge the status quo and bring fresh viewpoints
- proficiency skills in English
