Finance Controller

The position
As Finance Controller you will report directly to the Group Head of Finance and be part of a team with high ambitions, both as a team and as individuals. Therefore, your ability to create results, to be a great colleague and team player will be important to be successful in this role. You will be overall responsible for the daily operation and continuous improvement across the group entities with the aim to improve global transparency and business performance. This includes providing valid and business relevant reporting for internal and external stakeholders, and for driving continuous optimization of internal administrative procedures. Last but not lease to secure the highest level of compliance.
As you will be sparring partner and primary contact to your peers in the (group) subsidiaries, you should have strong communication and networking skills, and be excellent at aligning with stakeholders across a global organisation.
Your additional primary tasks and areas of responsibility
- Manage/run the financial closing and reporting processes (monthly and year-end), incl. audit preparation
- Secure high-quality and timely reporting to key stakeholders (Owners, Board, Financial Partners and Management)
- Consolidate and prepare budget and rolling forecast
- Secure support for and perform finance controlling of our Indian subsidiaries
- Analytical review, balance sheet reconciliation and manage accruals, tax, and other complex journal entries
- Maintain Transfer Pricing documentation and secure operational compliance
- Drive functional excellence/continuous improvement within the finance function, incl. BI-reporting and implementation of robotics
Your profile reflects
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics or auditing, and at least 4 years of relevant working experience in an international environment
- Expert-level skills within the MS Office Professional Suite, incl. advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication skills, incl. experience with formal reporting to external stakeholders
- Experience within SAP and robotics is an advantage
- You have strong personal drive and communicate effortlessly in written and spoken English.
- Most importantly, your working style is well structured and based on strong analytical and interpersonal skills
To be successful in the role, you have experience in interacting as a financial sparring partner with business controlling, local finance managers in group subsidiaries as well as relevant stakeholders across the organisation. You have experience consolidating group numbers as regards to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and annual reporting and strong analytical skills, just as you understand how to divide problems into relevant parts, securing quality in the details while keeping a general view of your deliverables.
You are experienced in creating material and presenting to management, and you understand how to convert complex data into simple and comprehensibly language. You have been involved in or responsible for driving continuous improvements in a finance function, incl. automation using IT systems and robotics.
You have a proactive and structured work approach, and you are curious about the business behind the numbers. You can utilize your curiosity and knowledge to challenge status quo, thereby contributing to the continuous development of the company and your personal career.
