Do you want to be part of revolutionising how we work with cleaning? Are you creative and able to think out of the box? We are looking for a chemist with cleaning experience who can help us implement and develop new methods to investigate cleaning procedures at lab scale.

About the department

You can look forward to becoming part of a dynamic and well-functioning team consisting of 7 chemists and 5 laboratory technicians. We thrive on professional challenges and work independently with great individual responsibility and a high level of commitment. We collaborate with diverse stakeholders in the organization including production departments, research, regulatory affairs and QA. We therefore enjoy being part of a wide range of activities and projects within the organisation.

The department is part of DAPI Manufacturing Development and consists of approx. 70 employees distributed into 5 teams. Our department is located in Bagsværd, but as our primary objective is to support the production facilities in Kalundborg, you should expect to work there from time to time, typically 3-4 days a month.

The position

We are looking for a cleaning chemist in DAPI MDev with a sound understanding of cleaning processes and principles and a creative flair for continuous improvement. In the job, you will have two primary areas of responsibility; supporting projects on cleaning strategy and supporting the daily API production in matters regarding cleaning.

This means that your scientific input and creative thinking will be driving forces in the initiatives to change how we approach cleaning processes. In a year or so, you will be able to say that you have lead a small revolution, and when you are not occupied by this somewhat daunting task, you will assist in the operations. You will be handling deviations, findings root causes to any problems that may arise, and developing and implementing corrective and preventive measures. Quickly, you will be the go-to person for questions and issues around cleaning, and this position will make you quite visible in a truly global organisation, where we have systematised knowledge sharing and learning from any mistakes.

As such, your primary responsibilities will be development and execution of cleaning validation programs for new products, overseeing requalification programs for existing equipment/facilities, implementation of new cleaning technologies and approaches, authoring reports, supporting audits and regulatory inspections. You will work with experienced colleagues across the organisation, ensuring implementation of new cleaning processes, as well as ongoing support of existing facilities and products.

You will be expected to develop, execute and implement operational optimisation projects to increase manufacturing efficiencies for personnel and equipment, in order to ensure quality and compliance. Your other work tasks will include supporting manufacturing campaigns, authoring investigation summaries, authoring GMP documents (SOP’s and production documents)

The position will give you great opportunities to develop and deliver effective skill building and training for our production supporters, collaborate with individuals and teams and build a solid and well-functioning network. You will be instrumental in assuring local operational practice reflects local procedure and instruction, which will require that you understand technology operation capabilities, limits and control strategies in the manufacturing plants.

Qualifications

We expect that you have solid theoretical background and an academic degree (Cand. Pharm, Chemical Engineer, Chemistry or equivalent). You have experience within the field of cleaning validation from pharmaceutical production as well as experience in managing smaller projects in a GMP regulated environment. It is preferred that you have knowledge of LEAN principles.

On a personal level you have a positive attitude; you are committed and work in a systematic manner. As our new cleaning scientist, you will engage in troubleshooting to support the manufacturing activities and perform a variety of activities to ensure the compliance state of our cleaning validation. You should find challenges exciting and you are able to maintain your overview and act in compliance with regulations despite being busy and involved in various tasks simultaneously. You are fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English.

It is important that you are a good communicator, since you are in daily contact with other chemists, technicians, production employees, project managers, analytical laboratories and others, both in Denmark and the US.
