Accountant, Poland

European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We construct wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation, and divestment. Our company of 200 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 23 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in Sweden, the UK, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil free society.

Our activities in Poland are growing and we are looking for a skilled Accountant with experience within Polish Accounting e.g. VAT and Tax to support our Accounting team. The job is part of our Global Finance Team with total 34 employees based in Søborg, Denmark. The Accounting team consists of 10 employees with direct report to Head of Group Accounting.

The position holds a variety of accounting tasks primarily for our Polish companies, including business support to our Polish project department, giving you a broad role in Accounting. Your area of responsibilities will require substantial knowledge, professional expertise, and experience within this field. You will be part of a team with highly skilled and committed colleagues in an ambitious work environment where you will be actively taking part in administration of our projects.

Areas of responsibility:

• Responsible for Accounting of several Polish companies
• Daily bookkeeping and bank payments
• Responsible for financial reconciliations at period ends
• Handling internal and external sales transactions
• VAT and TAX reporting and local GAAP reporting in cooperation with external advisors
• Interface with Auditors and External Advisors
• Optimization of processes and ERP system

Professional skills we expect from you:

• Several years of experience from a similar position
• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Profound skills in Accounting, VAT, TAX and PL compliance
• Thorough and structured way of working
• Good analytical skills and puts an effort in delivering timely and accurately in high quality
• Fluency in Polish and English is a prerequisite and Danish is an advantage
• Excel super user and experience in Navision Dynamics
