We are looking for a Senior Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) to join our Health Care Content (HCC) Team in the Nordics. This is an exciting time to be joining a rapidly growing team, with the chance to make a real contribution to the fight against COVID-19.
As Senior TSS you will concentrate on growing our Health Care Content (HCC) business within the Nordics, developing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and selling our molecular diagnostic solutions to a broad range of markets, including Pharmacogenomics, Cystic Fibrosis, Vaginal Microbiota, Urinary Tract Microbiota, Respiratory Microbiota & COVID-19. Initially, you will focus on our COVID-19 solutions (q-PCR tests, instruments and associated products), but will also work to expand sales into emerging infectious disease markets across a broad range of customer segments. You will be both a key member of the sales team, as well as a technical resource for customers and colleagues across the territory.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of selling into private clinical laboratories/service providers, in addition to Reference Labs and hospitals. You will also need to have a good understanding of gene expression and genotyping workflows, particularly in quantitative PCR, and with working knowledge of next generation sequencing and microarrays.
This is a field-based role and, when safe to do so, will involve extensive travel across the Nordic countries on a weekly basis (3 to 4 days per week on average, including some overnight stays), with the remainder of your time spent working from home. Due to the ongoing pandemic, travel may initially be very limited when you first start in role. We can be flexible on candidate location, but are ideally looking for candidates living anywhere in Denmark, preferably close to an international airport.

What will you do?
- Develop and manage an annual Territory Plan and quarterly Business Plan to meet or exceed financial goals
- Utilize product and application knowledge across our genetic analysis portfolio to successfully apply consultative and strategic selling presentations
- Understand customer goals, priorities and challenges to provide solutions best positioned to address clinical customer needs
- Focus on high growth areas and markets, and key applications to drive open array-based projects into new emerging markets
- Consistently and accurately manage sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management and sales tracking through the use of Salesforce.com system and other designated IT tools
- Regularly utilize analytics tools and CRM to drive territory success and achieve plan
- Assess sales team training needs and provide market feedback and product development input to internal business partners
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience (Master’s or PhD degree is desirable)
- Several years’ of Life Sciences sales or Application Support experience (essential)
- Able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of qPCR technologies and applications (essential)
- Fluent in English AND Danish (essential)
- Ability to accurately cost projects and speak to workflow advantages to create ROI with customers and sales colleagues
- Accomplished sales skills; able to demonstrate value as a supporting partner in the pre-sales process, while also independently driving sales throughout all stages of the sales process
- Located within the defined geography of the territory
- Willing and able to travel extensively (minimum 50%) on a weekly basis by car, train & airplane, including overnight stays
- Valid, clean driver’s licence
