On behalf of Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S, Randstad is looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development Professional within the Marine industry to join the European Team headquartered in Hobro, Denmark and with sales offices in Germany, France, UK and Norway. Ballard Power Systems is the leading provider of innovative clean energy solutions based on hydrogen fuel cells.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet Ballard´s customer acquisition and revenue growth targets and maintain the company's market leadership with a specific focus on fuel cell solutions for marine applications.

Role & Responsibilities


• You will be responsible for maximizing Ballard’s sales potential in the maritime market segment, achieving synergies with key accounts, especially OEMs and integrators, as well as developing new leads whilst driving them to a close
• You will collaborate with Ballard’s European team, the Global Commercial team, our Marine Centre of Excellence, and the other parts of the Ballard organization to craft sales plans and participate in the go-to-market strategy of our fuel cell solutions business.
• You will be part of outlining and implementing business plans that will expand the customer base to meet multi year revenue targets, ensuring Ballard’s market position as the gold standard in the industry
• You will outline realistic sales budgets and revenue forecasts to the management team
• You will identify target accounts in key locations to serve existing markets or expand Ballard’s marine fuel cell markets (ship operators, integrators, shipyards, ship architects, etc.)
• You will analytically evaluate leads and early opportunities to determine the most strategic and critical upon which to focus

Who you are


• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or other related fields of study
• Minimum 5 years´ relevant work experience within sales of complex technical equipment and projects in the marine business segment
• Proven ability to drive the sales process with longer life cycles from planning to close
• Business Development with a focus on the go-to-market and the overall strategy, especially in emerging/developing technologies and markets
• Proficiency in English and minimum one Nordic language, spoken and written with the ability to work seamlessly across the Nordic countries
• Experience with renewable energies, low/zero emission technologies, hybrid systems, electric vehicles, propulsion systems will be an advantage
