3Shape’s largest global accounts consist of cross-border subsidiaries across the globe with a vast dental portfolio. Succeeding as a Strategic Account Manager requires a strong relationship that is being built with the account and sharing commercial output/results together.
Your main task will be to develop a sound, challenging and tight working relationship with key stakeholders in the account(s); this will include establishment of an ongoing process for the collaboration, ensure alignment of internal resources, stakeholders and objectives to support the account(s). A measurement of success will be regular performance updates for the account(s) internally as well with the account(s)' stakeholders. Obviously, increased sales, high usage rates for the resellers customers and an increasing net promoter score is what we are aiming for.
We expect that you will be able to challenge the account on how it delivers the most value to its customers and be a key driver in exploring new opportunities in doing so together with the account. This position requires a structured, analytical mindset mixed with a can-do attitude. There are great opportunities in helping to shape the boundaries of this role, including the key success criteria.
You will report to the Head of Global Accounts with strong ties to senior, regional and local country management. We expect the Strategic Account Manager to identify, pitch and execute the most important opportunities for the account(s) and 3Shape.
Responsibilities
As a Strategic Account Manager you will be given the following responsibilities:
- Develop annual account plans, including revenue targets, cost budget, profitability analysis, key priorities and major sales- and marketing activities
- Set and drive account specific teams and responsibilities across the 3Shape organisation
- Develop account plan templates, regular review meetings with relevant stakeholders (internal & external) and ensure actions are taken across the organization
- Identify, pitch and execute - with internal and external stakeholders – on potential that can help accelerate the performance of the account, and that are mutually benefiting both the account, the account’s customers and 3Shape
- Drive internal and external account reviews and performance management regarding account progress, including revenue targets and progress of the sales- and marketing activities
- Ensure alignment with regional and local 3Shape sales managers on what can be done locally to optimize the business results. Outcome of this alignment exercise must be reflected in all of above bullets.
- Owner of driving implementation of key activities defined in the annual plan sales- and marketing plan…together with key internal stakeholders in Denmark and in the countries as well as with key stakeholders in the account
Professional competencies
- Ideal candidate has a strong commercial mindset
- Experience from either management consulting or a strategy/corporate development role
- Experience as an account manager for complex customer(s)
- Strong analytical toolbox and sound problem-solving skills
- Solid project management skills
- Thrive by building up solid relationships, both internally and externally
- Be able to continuously interact with C-level executives in formal and informal settings
- Strong communication skills
- Self driven and ability to create results through others
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) – ideally combined with one more language
- Master/MBA in commerce, marketing, economics or equivalent is a minimum requirement
- Experience in developing sales pitches to large, complex customers is considered a plus
- Experience in the healthcare industry is considered a plus
- IT skills required super user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint)
