What you’ll do
We are looking to strengthen our Nordic Sales team by hiring an experienced Account Executive to sell the latest SAS solutions across a range of Nordic customer and prospect accounts across various industries. SAS already has a strong presence among some of the largest companies in the Nordics, you job is to penetrate deeper and prospect wider.
Your Territory could include several existing customers, most of whom are likely to have on-premise software, with traditional licence metrics. Your primary role will be to grow the relationship and annual revenue within these large accounts by finding opportunities to expand their investments with SAS and maximise value from their current investments. You will lead a matrixed, high impact selling team to deliver end to end solution offerings to your accounts, primarily in the cloud (customer’s cloud or SAS cloud). Our end to end solution offerings require the coordination of your team from education, customer success, support, cloud delivery, professional services and business value.
You will also be entrusted with a number of named new business prospects based on their previous interest in SAS, or based on business challenges that SAS has successfully solved elsewhere. For these prospects, you will be expected to work closely with SAS Marketing, Business Development, Partners and Customer Advisory team to generate demand and then sell at Director or C-level.
Experience in managing client relationships to senior levels AND selling end to end solutions preferably Analytics, Cloud and Data Management is required. We are looking for bright & ambitious applicants with fluency in English, who have utilised strategic selling methodologies and can lead a virtual team to engage professionally across the client organisation from I.T, to Finance, Procurement, Business and C-level. Combined with this, great communication, an ability to sell to business value and customer relationship management skills. We need strong problem solvers with a determination to be the best they can. We need sales people with excellent listening skills & the ability to ask the right questions. Organisation, time management and ability to engage with many accounts on a regular basis is key.
You must also be a fearless leader. This starts with an ambitious Territory Plan, that shows your understanding of your industry/customer business challenges, and how you intend to find & sell to these needs. You will be encouraged to work towards stretch goals that support SAS Nordic’s growth agenda, whilst constantly staying focused on your customer’s success. The plan will be detailed and should act as the to-do list for you and your team for a successful outcome.
You will:
- Manage the SAS relationship with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and ongoing retention of existing financial investments
- Generate incremental revenue through prospecting, cold calling, up selling and cross selling within a territory or account
- Develop a strategic Territory Plan – and then Opportunity Plans as necessary. Familiarity with customer engagement methodologies like Revegy, Medic or Miller Heiman would be helpful
- Implement all aspects of territory and account management revenue targets
- Identify/qualify accounts with “high close” potential, generate opportunities & accurately forecast business & revenue
- Keep abreast of terminologies, and industry/customer specific value propositions
- Develop an understanding of company pricing, policies and licensing procedures
- Be Commercially driven, with a strong business acumen
- Perform other duties, as assigned
