Ambitious and driven Key Account Manager for Reckitt Denmark.

Reckitt Denmark is currently looking for a seasoned Key Account Manager. The role will play a key strategic role in our Danish and Nordic Business. The right candidate will be able to balance his or her own customer portfolio and a lead role around our major accounts.

To fulfil this role, you will work closely with the full DK sales team. This includes the Country Sales Manager, Sales Coordinators, Local Trade Marketer, Financial Controller, Student Worker, External Field Sales Force and the two other KAMs. The role will include line management and opportunities for growth.

As Key Account Manager you will drive profitable growth in line with Company and Team objectives. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of leading brands in your customers, impacting category development and the full Nordic portfolio. These brands include Neophos, Vanish, Airwick, Cillit Bang and other leading market names. Also, you will be tasked with managing and reporting on your customer portfolio, that is shared between the three KAMs in Denmark.

Working together with internal stakeholders, you will develop customer strategies and initiate activities to maximize net revenue and profit. In this stakeholder management, you will work closely with our Nordic Trade Marketing team, Finance, Supply and legal/regulatory. The successful Key Account Manager will thus manage their own customer P&Ls from ‘top to bottom’.

Your responsibilities:

Functional:

  • Achieve Net Revenue, Gross Margin & Net Working Capital targets for customers.
  • Achieve 4P targets (product, placement, price & promotion).
  • Develop multi-level relationships with the accounts.
  • Achievement of account sales and trade investment targets for allocated account.
  • Secure trading and distribution/promotion, agreements in line with nominated major account’s profile (including share of shelf, visibility at POS, Distribution penetration across product range, Consumer and Trade promotions and discounts.
  • Observe current GDP legislation – Good Distribution Practice.
  • Manage Field Sales activities for own customers.
  • Secure monthly reporting on accounts.

Cross Functional:

  • Secure timelines from marketing deployments are met.
  • Partner with Financial controller, securing P&L management.
  • Partner with Supply team to secure forecast and delivery.

Other:

  • Work across borders in the Nordics and beyond to build a smarter business.
  • Develop and manage direct report/s.
  • Participate in Nordic meetings when relevant in coordination with Country Sales Manager.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business area

Experience:

  • Key Account Manager with demonstrable commercial acumen and good understanding of customer management process.
  • Preferred min. 5 years’ experience as KAM.
  • FMCG experience is key.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Danish- both oral and written
  • Other Scandinavian languages are an advantage

IT:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with SAP is considered a plus
  • Siebel/Oracle is a plus

Functional skills:

  • Conceptual and analytical skills
  • Development of strategies, tactics, and measurable implementation
  • Account management
  • Influencing and negotiation
  • Planning issues, priority settings, project management, commercial understanding of corporate and operational business
  • Strategic thinker with confidence to effectively deliver account plan
  • Proven track record of P&L management, budget delivery and growth momentum
