Then, we are currently looking for an ambitious Sales Executive for our Aberdeen, United Kingdom sales organization.

As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for your varied client portfolio, offering our service contracts for liferafts, lifeboat service, Aviation passenger suits and marine fire service. You will also be selling VIKING's products; liferafts, lifeboats, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) and other lifesaving appliances, where we have a great market potential.

You will be joining a highly motivated external sales team and you will be in close collaboration with our sales and service department across our four branches Aberdeen, Great Yarmouth, Liverpool and Southampton.

To succeed in the position, we would prefer you live close to Aberdeen, as you will be working out of our new Aberdeen office. We expect you to be out visiting customer 3 days a week and the remaining 2 days you will be following up on sales leads and other office administrative tasks.

In our Aberdeen station, you will be joining a dynamic sales and service administrative team

You will report directly to our Sales Manager UK.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets through the generation of new opportunities and maintaining existing revenue streams
  • Build and manage the relationship within all assigned accounts
  • Maintaining and upselling to the existing customer portfolio, developing and cultivating relationships with new customers
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction is being achieved on your accounts by working with the customer service delivery team globally
  • Maintain sales CRM to record all activities inside of each account
  • Contribute to the development of these propositions and offerings in internal forums, customer workshops and industry events
  • Cooperate well with all local and regional colleagues to develop and implement global, regional and local strategies within the region that will result in exceeding the annual financial targets

Your profile
If you’re an ambitious self-starter with a keen drive to exceed expectations, have the confidence and ability to plan and structure your own pipeline of leads. Demonstrates an intelligent, knowledge-based approach to selling, then you’re already on the way.
If you enjoy working with sales and you’re eager to try new tasks - you just may be a perfect fit.

  • Looking to build and develop your career in sales within a Global leading safety company
  • Proven sales/business development experience essential
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity within the maritime or offshore industry is an advantage, but not essential
  • Strong confident client facing skills – ability to engage, win trust and articulate the sales proposition in a coherent and friendly manner is key
  • Some technical knowledge and understanding is also an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

You must be a team player, have a proactive, energetic, positive and a self-driven attitude, a good sense of humour is a must.
