Norse Projects has a new position as Commercial Director.

Since 2004, Norse Projects has drawn upon its Scandinavian roots to inform a design language that supports an infrastructure for a highly adaptable wardrobe.

Drawing from naturalistic reference points, innovative materials cater to heightened functionality, while minimal yet distinctive basics extend a seasonal range of endless outfitting options. The position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to spearhead our commercial strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal role will significantly impact our global sales and brand visibility.

You will be responsible for building Norse Projects as a premium brand on an exciting international growth journey. You must be versatile with the brand management principles of high-end brands.

As Commercial Director, you will drive sales through our revenue streams, wholesale, retail, and E-commerce, supported by your team.

Your excellent skills in executing growth strategies internationally, combined with your “can-do” attitude, will differentiate you from other candidates for this attractive position.

You will be responsible for the overall sales performance in close cooperation with your team members at HQ, agents, and distributors. You will drive expanding sales to leading retailers and online platforms for premium brands. Your international network of leading high-end retailers and agents will be important in this position. You must be a “people person” with outstanding relational skills.

As part of the Management Team, you will play a central role in the overall development of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy encompassing wholesale distribution, retail, and E-commerce.
  • Lead the wholesale team to build and maintain strong global retail partnerships, driving sales growth.
  • Oversee international expansion plans, identifying new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage operational aspects of retail environments, ensuring brand consistency and superior customer experience.
  • Apply merchandising expertise to influence product strategy and channel strategies.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback for product development.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for seasonal launches, promotional campaigns, and sales events.
  • Sales training and sparring with the team, including developing sales tools.
  • Plan and execute sales kick-offs.
  • Secure close cooperation with other departments in the company.
  • Being visible and proactive – showing the way through dedication, passion, and results.

Your professional profile

  • Experience from a similar position in a high-end fashion company, involved in wholesale, retail, and E-commerce.
  • Strategic skills: Ability to develop and execute long-term commercial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Buying and Merchandising: Proven successful buying strategies and merchandise planning track record.
  • Retail Operations: Extensive experience in managing and optimising various retail formats, including pop-up stores and flagship stores.
  • Proficient knowledge of brand management techniques, including adjacency, segmentation & pricing strategies.
  • E-commerce Development: Expertise in developing and implementing E-commerce strategies to enhance digital sales and customer engagement.
  • Export Management: Experienced in developing & managing international sales and navigating the complexities of global markets.
  • Leadership: Effective communicator and team leader, capable of inspiring and motivating teams.
  • Relationship Management: Strong network of relationships with retail partners globally, with a proven ability to build and maintain partnerships.
  • Merchandising: Proven ability to apply merchandising skills to product and channel strategies.
  • Brand Management: Skills in maintaining brand integrity across multiple channels and markets.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent skills in data analysis and insight generation.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional language skills, mainly Danish, are advantageous.
