For our team in Global Safety & Resilience (‘S&R’ - which covers Health, Safety, Environment, Security & Business Resilience) we are looking for a Behavioral Designer, who is eager to drive our Safety & Resilience cultural learning and upskilling journey for leaders and frontline workers and bring it to the next level.

As our Global Safety & Resilience, Behavioral Designer, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for driving the S&R cultural program, upskilling our leaders and frontline workers in how to approach and embed safety into leadership and daily operations across Maersk.

You will be a part of our very dedicated and passionate team ‘Global S&R Operational Excellence, HSE Standards and Innovation’ and based out of Copenhagen at our Headquarter.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of ‘Global Operational Excellence, HSE Standards & Innovation’ you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise on human psychology and behavioral design research principles. This role ensures that a human-centric approach forms the basis of S&R interventions and innovations. Within projects and various initiatives, this role provides expertise relating to human cognition, decision-making, motivation, and behaviors.

You will be using your skills within qualitative and quantitative analyses, problem exploration and identification, design of behavioral objectives and synthesizing insights to support solution design, recommendations and implementation that drive sustainable change.

You will generate action-oriented insights, recommendations, and solutions, while working collaboratively with subject matter experts, leaders and frontline colleagues to guide implementation planning and delivery - ensuring relevant, targeted and meaningful solutions.

You will also be responsible for driving the S&R cultural program, upskilling leaders and frontline workers in principles and behaviors that drives and fosters a learning organization with the key elements of Health, Safety, Environment, Security and Business Resilience weaved into the fabrics of daily operations.

Furthermore, you will also be responsible for driving and designing the learning journeys of our S&R Learning Academy, providing upskilling and learning programs that drives S&R organizational behaviors and capabilities across the organization. The Learning Academy is an approach to elevate upskilling, innovation, knowledge management and learning that motivates action for safe and resilient organizational behaviors. It includes a central digital location where employees in Maersk can engage with knowledge, learning and tools to embed S&R into everyday work.

We are looking for someone who has

A relevant degree within Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology or similar - specializing in Behavioral Design and/or Psychological Safety, combined with practical industry experience of Behavioral Design as applied to operationally focused projects/deliverables.

Experience in learning development design and delivery methods, including coaching and training combined with practical industry experience.

Experience and knowledge of Safety 2.0/Safety Differently Principles to inform S&R initiative/project direction.

Experience in using Human Organizational Performance Thinking, by utilizing concepts and approaches in human behavioral psychology.

Experience in systematic analysis of how people think and make decisions as a basis for thinking about behavioral change interventions and innovations.

Preferred to have experience as a subject matter expert or consultant, either external or internal, where you have worked with agile project management and ways of working.

Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to connect and create followship across a wide variety of stakeholders across different geographies and levels of the organization. Preferred experience in multicultural background.

Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills, including the ability to listen and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

You are able to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.

As a person you are a self-managed individual that is confident and accountable for their work - with the adaptability to lean in and help others when the opportunity presents itself.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a requirement.
