Construction Site Operations NCE On site QHSE
On site QHSE is a newly started department within Construction, Site Operations North & Central Europe (NCE). Our main task is to provide quality, health and safety resources on our construction site across the NCE regions to ensure that we deliver the highest quality of our turbines, and the lowest Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) when it comes to incident cases on sites.
Vestas is strengthening its onsite quality focus during construction. For this we are now looking for on-site Quality Leads to coordinate and execute project quality plans during the construction phase of our wind parks.
Currently, the main areas of work will be in Sweden and Norway for 2020 and 2021. The role could either be based on locations near the construction sites (ex. Trondheim, Norway and Östersund, Sweden), or based on a rotational model with two weeks on site, two weeks off site (16-12 rotation), should you not be in those areas. Travelling must be expected to both sites mentioned, to other Vestas locations and for customer office locations.

Responsibilities
As Quality Lead Supervisor your primary areas of responsibility are:
- Daily leadership of site quality manpower
- Point of contact for site manager and customer in quality related issues
- Support site team on quality related issues and participate in daily coordination meetings on site
- Quality assurance before handover of turbines to Service/Customer
- Creating quality control plan for the project to ensure that the quality related task and issues are being recorded, shared and aligned within the running project plan
- Close cooperation with Commissioning Lead on planning for turbines to be ready for commissioning
- Conducting daily toolbox for the quality team, and responsible for quality documentation is correctly filled out, and handling of non-conformities in quality related issues
Qualifications
- To qualify for the position, we would like you to have:
- Minimum 3-5 years in experience working with quality
- Proven experience in creating and executing quality plans
- Experience in managing people
- Experience from the Energy Supply / Construction industry
- Mechanical and/or electrical background is an advantage
- A driver’s license
- Fluent in English and knowledge of technical English (read and understand)
Also, it is preferred if you have:
- A track record of being accurate and showing attention to details
- Proven capability to handle several activities simultaneous
- Experience with customer collaboration/interface
- A valid Global Wind Organisation (GWO) certification and recently performed a health check
Competencies
- Good communication skills, both on-site and cross-border, you will be able to handle internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Can work as part of a high performing team, but also work autonomously when required
- Strong drive and goal oriented
- Self-motivated and a "hands on" approach
- Customer focused
- Flexible to adjust and adapt by taking on other assignments when needed
