We are currently recruiting Solution Architects who thrives on becoming important players in our digital transformation journey, taking construction to new heights through IT.

You will join the Group function "Finance & IT", which leads NCC´s strategic development and major change programs in the business. Finance & IT is NCC's development and delivery function for IT as well as operations development and research & innovation. We are a Nordic organization with 140+ employees working together closely under one common management. Cooperation in- and between units is key for us to deliver value to NCCs business areas, and therefore we have adapted an Agile team-based setup with focus on collaboration, people and efficient delivery and development.

Your role and responsibilities

As Solution Architect your main responsibility is to ensure that solution design meets business requirements, as well as IT operational and non-business requirements. This also means full responsibility for the overall quality of the solution design. You will work closely with business representatives, managers, enterprise architects as well as suppliers and you need the ability both to understand as well as explain what impact a specific solution will have on the business environment.

In this position you will

• Deliver solution architecture, i.e., Design documentation covering several viewpoints covering process, application and information.
• Construct solution designs based on the principle of "minimal viable product" whenever possible. This to secure an iterative end-to-end deliver to the business.
• Ensure that the solution design is based on a High-level Architectural Concept to secure alinement to NCCs target architecture.
• Participate in architecture forums to provide input to the assigned development.
• Be the driver of the architectural perspective during the RFP-process
• Work with vendors and suppliers
• Ensure that the expected quality of solutions is achieved.

Your profile

You have strong inter-personal skills and you find it easy to interact with people on different organizational levels. You are goal and result oriented.

To be successful in this role we believe you have

• several years of experience of IT work within solution design and development, preferably in large/complex organizations
• you have experience from using design tools, at NCC we are using using Sparx
• relevant academic degree in IT or equivalent. Other formal qualification within solution/IT-design or business architecture is an advantage.
• fluent in English and one of the Nordic languages, both verbally and written.

It is meritorious if you have experience from the construction industry or knowledge within the financial area (processes and systems). We also value your experience of agile methods.

Further you need to:

• communicate effectively and be able to explain complex architecture matters with business interests
• understand architectural problems and define efficient solutions
• possess self-leadership, be able to work round obstacles to achieve results
• act as a key member of project teams and provide leadership in both solution design and development
• be a team player with good co-operation skills

Additional information

This position can be in any of our major cities in the Nordics, but you will be working closely with our stakeholders located at our office in Stockholm, Sweden. The position may require some travelling within the Nordic countries, although we do apply a flexible way of working and strive to collaborate digitally as much as possible.
