Maersk is on multi-year program to revamp its technology and digital solutions footprint and as part of new strategy, SAP will act as the ‘digital core’ for the company’s major processes enabled by SAP’s latest cloud and S4HANA offerings. Maersk has currently ECC based SAP finance solutions running for Ocean and Logistics divisions and plan is to subsume these solutions within revamped green field S4HANA implementation. The SAP Enablement platform holds a central position within this landscape working to define ways of working covering the technical engineering required to build and support the end-to-end promotional model.
Working within the SAP Technology Platform as part of the Release Management team you will be a part of the team that is managing and handling all change promotions to our SAP landscapes for both functional and technical changes. Your role will be to work with and assist in managing the SAP Basis and infrastructure related changes including performing dependency check, quality of the raised change request, compiling the consolidated list of changes on weekly basis, communicating the changes, provide guidance for the change process, to some extend also approve. You will be working closely with the SAP Basis and infrastructure team, and the key business service owners in the Maersk organization as well as the external vendors to ensure alignment with overall delivery needs and following established ways of working.

Roles and Responsibilities
Listed below are some of the key responsibilities of this role. However, we work in an Agile environment, making this a superb opportunity for you to carve this role for yourself!
- Stakeholder management: work closely with the SAP technical teams, solution architects, external vendors etc. to ensure proper identification of requirements has been met for implementing changes and ensure compliance with the overall global Change Management process.
- Ensure that there is defined and monitored KPI data to support continuous service improvement activity. E.g. technical change reporting – measures and metrics KPIs
- Follow-up with the change implementer team on status of the progress of the changes and ensure all the KPIs for change Management is met
- Actively work to support release planning and technical cutover run book reviews and plans
- Pro-actively analyses current processes and practices, suggesting and driving improvements to the promotional model.
- Change communication to all key stakeholders and business regarding the change activities
- Maintain and enhance the change calendar for all the activities
- Actively keeps up to date with technical development and configuration management approaches to assess value in implementing at Maersk business functionality
- Focus on automation to speed up delivery
- Ensure SAP landscape management validation, synchronization, and stabilization in coordination with the delivery leads, platform architects and scrum masters
Experience / Skills

- Although there will not be any hands-on for SAP Basis and/or infrastructure related activities you must have at least 3 or more years of SAP basis and infrastructure related engineering experience working in agile delivery environments to be able to engage in the role as SAP technical change engineer.
- 1-2 years’ practical S4Hana engineering experience
- Proficient in structured change management processes and procedures
- Proficient in Service Now change- and reporting modules
- Proficient in Jira tool
- Practical experience of SAP product upgrades- and rollout processes.
- Ability to work with teams, to influence, to co-operate, to collaborate are essential key skills to get teams working at outstanding levels. Team building mindset
