Python Developer – Cyber Defence Center

The Cyber Defence Center in IT Relation are expanding and seeking our next team-mate who wants to participate in our endeavor towards securing and raising our customers Cyber Threat defenses by working with coding and developing our service-offerings and tools. Are you ready to join forces and be an integral part of developing capabilities for fighting the bad guys as one of our new developers?

You will be part of our Cyber Defence Center team with focused specialists, responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of our specialized SOAR and other internal tools. The Cyber Defence Center team within IT Relation works with SIEM, NDR and EDR as an example of our product range but we also provide monitoring, visitation and triaging, incident response, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Scanning and Management, as well as performing advisories on threats, security posture analysis and more, internally and for customers.

To do so, our developers maintain and develop tool- and API-integrations into our SOAR where we are keen on automating the trivial tasks, helping our analysts with being focused and having the tools to enrich investigations at hand.

We’re an accredited TF-CSIRT team under Trusted Introducer and a renowned team with a high focus on best practices, documentation, and usage of industry standards in regards with frameworks, maturity models etc.

About the job

As our new Python Developer, you will be part of our R&D team, responsible for building, developing, and maintaining our integrations, in-house-developed tools and more. Our existing codebase is based on Python 3 and is mostly backend. We have a few internal projects where basic front-end skills are a plus – those are developed using the python-frameworks Django and Flask, where knowledge of those frameworks is preferred. Knowledge of Bash, PowerShell, C, Java, JavaScript and alike is a plus. The development is agile, with long-term planning, sprint-planning, backlogging, and pipelining done via our VCS platform. You will have to think out of the box and expand our toolbox based on the ideas you get with the team and our third-party vendors.

We are a highly specialized team focusing on Cyber Security, and as part of your job, you will participate in the enablement of your skillset by attending relevant webinars, presentations, conferences, continuous learning, and certifications.

What will be your responsibilities

• Coding, developing, and maintaining our current codebase
• Creating and maintaining a rigorous test-setup for our code integrations
• Seek and investigate new Security tools in collaboration with the other team-members

About you and your skillset

• You have a proven skill in coding and maintaining code in an agile setup
• You are comfortable in Python and API integrations, and are keen to develop/maintain a rigorous test-setup
• You have knowledge in the python frameworks of Django and Flask
• You are well versed in the version-control system Git
• You are structured, detail-oriented and put an honor in the quality of your work
• You have an interest in Cyber Security and are keen to learn more
• You are self-driven and solution-oriented
• You may have knowledge in System Administration for Microsoft Windows and Linux
• You may have knowledge in the Cloud-space and Microsoft Azure in particular
• You are fluent in English – both spoken and written
• You are service minded and a team-player
• You are not afraid of speaking your mind about how we can improve as a team, and be better than yesterday!
