We’re looking for a new developer to join our team at CSS Electronics in Aarhus!

About CSS Electronics

Our company develops & sells compact, professional-grade data loggers for use in automotive & industrial applications (incl. IoT variants) - see our 3 min CANedge intro video.

Our products are used by engineers at automotive manufacturers (e.g. Siemens, Bosch, Volkswagen, JCB, ...) across cars, trucks, ships, robotics and more. Use cases include predictive maintenance, diagnostics and cost optimization.

The company was started in 2015 and is growing fast. Today we supply 2000+ companies across 80+ countries.

About the role

We are looking for a full-time developer to support on our product development.

Examples of tasks can include the below:

  • Developing new product firmware features (embedded C)
  • Expanding/maintaining our software/API tools (C++/Python)
  • Creating unit tests / end-of-line tests (Python, embedded Linux)
  • Diagnosing and resolving bugs in products/software

About you

  • You have experience in embedded C and embedded Linux
  • You have knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • You are passionate about creating (really) great code
  • You continuously (and proactively) invest in developing your coding skills and yourself
  • You can also enjoy the more ‘tedious’ tasks (bug fixing, lengthy datasheets, ...)
  • You manage your own work (designing solutions, planning, resolving roadblocks, ...)
  • You respond well to feedback and voice your opinion - yet commit, even if you disagree
  • You bring energy and enthusiasm to the work you do (and the office)

What do we offer?

  • You’ll grow fast through frequent in-depth feedback from our team
  • You can contribute to open source software/API tools
  • Your work will have truly visible impact for end users
  • We offer flexible working hours, zero “dreadlines”, very few meetings, a flat hierarchy and lots of coffee

Practical application process

We will invite selected candidates for an initial interview. Following this will be a 5 hour paid coding task (to be done at home at your pace). After this, potential candidates are invited for a final interview.

We’re based at Søren Frichs Vej 38K, Office 35, 8230 Åbyhøj.

Interested? Then send us your CV, motivational letter - and if possible, code samples from previous work.

We look forward to hearing from you!
