Aarhus GeoInstruments seeks an engaged software developer to join our team of geophysicist and engineers. Aarhus GeoInstruments (AGI) is an ambitious spin-out company selling and producing scanners for location of water resources in the subsurface. The marked for our scanners is global, so is water problems caused by overexploitation and climate changes. Software controlling the instruments is crucial for the user experience and plays a vital role for the usage of the scanners.
About us
AGI is a spin-out from Aarhus University selling advanced instruments for scanning the subsurface for water. We operate in a global marked and we have an ambitious growth plan for the next 5 years. Currently we have one very successful technology called tTEM and we expect to introduce several new products with different application focuses but based on a one common technology platform. Software and a merge of software and hardware is key to the company vision on creating advanced yet non-expert instruments.
Work tasks
We have a suite of existing software integrating communication with the hardware, data processing and an advanced GIS interface. The package is developed in Embarcadero Delphi 10, it is multithreaded, and data are communicated between subprograms using TCPIP. The package is vital for our existing system and one of your work tasks will be to maintain and further developed this package.
We expect to produce several new products with relatively simple user interfaces developed on a shared API for the hardware. Another of your tasks will be to develop and maintain this API in close collaboration with external software developers and to develop the AGI user interfaces. We have not decided if these user interfaces are browser based, are apps on the embedded PC or apps on the tablets used to control the instruments. Your input and experiences will be an important contribution for this decision.
