Plant Hybrid Modelling & Analytics is a strong and diverse team that consists of everything from meteorologists and CFD specialists to data analytics experts and software architects. Our vision is to make energy from wind and hybrid power plants the most cost efficient in the market, saving the World from tons of CO2 emissions, while maintaining Vestas’ position as number 1 in the sustainable energy business. We do this by applying advanced models, data analytics and high-performance computing capabilities to the terabytes of operational turbine data we have – and any other data source that could be relevant. And we have fun doing it!
Responsibilities
Working in Plant Hybrid Modelling as a Data Analyst is a job where you will have a huge influence on defining what your area of responsibility and direction will be. Overall your main objective will be to turn data into insights, but how you do it – if it is using machine learning or just a simple linear model – is to a large extent up to you. In fact, we expect of you to show the way. However, you can expect to apply your analytical skills in areas such as root cause analysis, predictive analytics (predictive maintenance), Condition Monitoring Systems and intelligent power plant control strategy.
Qualifications
Preferably you have a relevant scientific education such as Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics, minimum at a bachelor level, but a strong proven track record of working with data at scale is also interesting.
