Vestas Solutions Enterprise Platforms App & API Platforms
The department govern digital platforms that power Vestas Digitalisation journey and support DevOps teams developing extensions and innovations from small changes to big SAFe based initiatives.
APP & API architecture powers large field service solutions with 15K number of users to, API developer portals, drone inspections backends and many other solutions.
We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer to work with existing development teams and operations. As an SRE Consultant within Vestas you will work with architects and development teams to design, build and operate applications on-premise and in the cloud. Applications varies from customer facing mobile applications to backend cloud services. You will be balancing your time across automating operations, increasing the reliability and scalability of our applications, review deliveries from vendors and define development guidelines and processes.
You will be part of a team with 4-5 highly skilled architects with a forward looking, open and modern technology view.
Responsibilities
As SRE Consultant, you will collaborate with operation partners to orchestrate operations for specific areas. More specifically, you will:
Qualifications
You have a relevant technical degree e.g. bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (IT) or similar relevant for the position. More importantly, you have a background including 3-7 years of experience within software development or operations.
Ideally, you have gained technical competencies from experience with or knowledge of many of the following:

As SRE Consultant, you will collaborate with operation partners to orchestrate operations for specific areas. More specifically, you will:
- Automate deployment processes and establish monitoring solutions
- Keep up to date with relevant best practices to continuously improve processes and tools within operations
- Operate and maintain applications to ensure a high degree of performance and stability
- Define and improve processes and guidelines for development and operations of solutions
- Enforce guideline and review deliveries from internal and external development teams, including code review
- Engage with development projects to create solutions that are easy to operate and maintain
- Define Service Level Indicators (SLI) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
- Work with dedicated operations team to gather user and system feedback to continuously improve application stability and performance
Qualifications
You have a relevant technical degree e.g. bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (IT) or similar relevant for the position. More importantly, you have a background including 3-7 years of experience within software development or operations.
Ideally, you have gained technical competencies from experience with or knowledge of many of the following:
- Azure platform and services
- Salesforce platform
- Unit testing
- Arm templates
- PowerShell scripting
- Azure DevOps Pipelines CI/CD or alike
- Worked with agile processes, SCRUM and DevOps
- Micro service infrastructure
- Logging frameworks and logging platforms incl APM tooling's
- Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, Docker
- Certification within .net or Microsoft Azure
- Linux
- AWS
