This is a part-time position, primarily located in Bagsværd, with flexible working options. As a Trustworthy AI Scientist, you will help ensure that Novo Nordisk is at the forefront when it comes to good machine learning practices that sets patients safety and privacy front and center. With a team of technology experts, you will enable the translation of legal requirements, ensuring that AI solutions adhere to best practices.
Novo Nordisk has an established process for addressing legal requirements and you will take part of the focus groups and expert panels that are addressing the regulatory requirements around AI/ML. You will have a pivotal role in ensuring that the company guidelines translate into actions on the AI/ML solutions. Additionally, your key responsibilities will be: Understanding regulatory requirements related to AI compliance in pharma, such as the "EU AI act" and regulations from FDA and EMA Engage with technical teams to translate legal requirements into actionable and compliant technical implementations Collaborate with Novo Nordisk global compliance office to understand regulations and contribute to the Trustworthy AI Framework Act as a liaison for the AI&Analytics CoE across the enterprise Participate across the value chain in focus groups and legal compliance entities to ensure alignment in both understanding and implementation of regulatory requirements Monitor and stay updated on AI-related legal developments within the EU as well as globally You will be working with cutting edge technology across the Novo Nordisk value chain, from new and innovative drug research to clinical trial optimization all the way to optimizing the production facilities. Which competencies to bring?
To succeed in this role, we imagine you tick most of the following: Master's degree with 2+ years' relevant experience, or a PhD within legal, computer science, ethics or compliance Solid understanding of data privacy and AI compliance and regulation, experience from the pharmaceutical industry is a plus Strong understanding of AI technologies and their practical implementations Experience with AI risk assessment and governance like; bias detection and mitigation, model explainability, fairness metrics, model cards and/or other model quality assessment practices Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear and actionable guidance Experience in policy-making and regulatory environments You are driven by a passion to help others, want responsibility and freedom.
