GN is now looking for a Lead Enterprise Architect to join Enterprise Architecture & Cloud Enablement. You will play a vital role in setting the future direction for Enterprise Architecture so GN is always competitive and compliant by establishing a modern IT function that acts as cloud provider and at all time meets the business needs and requirements.
Enable, coach and secure governance
As the new Lead Enterprise Architect, you are responsible for driving the implementation and evolution of the overall Enterprise Architecture strategy. You will also independently support the delivery of business results by driving performance against operational objectives. You are the person who can translate the overall Enterprise Architecture strategy and through that facilitate a successful implementation.
The function will require a full understanding of all GN businesses, to keep track of technology concerns as well as those of the business. This understanding will make alignment between business requirements and technology architecture more transparent. It is important that business and technology are in alignment by linking the business mission, strategy, and processes of the GN organisation to the technology strategy.
You are to drive the Enterprise Architecture agenda creating structure as well as establishing close dialogue with the business, so the business naturally involves and seeks the advice of Enterprise Architecture and sees the value that Enterprise Architecture drives. This is very much about driving value and relevant outcome through a balanced view on structure and rigor. Applied Enterprise Architecture!
Strong business understanding and consultant approach
To succeed in this role, you are able to listen and apply your Enterprise Architecture proficiency and theory with success. Moreover, you must be able to proactively seek dialogue with relevant stakeholders to understand business requirements and set Enterprise Architecture on the agenda.

We expect you to have:
- An academic degree, preferably within IT, Engineering or a similar field and preferably an MSc or higher. TOGAF certification is considered an advantage.
- Several years of experience from an Enterprise Architect position and from working in an international organisation.
- A solid business understanding with a focus on value delivered.
- The ability to listen, communicate and to handle both external and internal stakeholders.
- Great communication skills in English.
