DSP Software Developer - make a difference for hearing aid users around the world
At GN Hearing, you will get to utilize your skills within embedded software and digital signal processing (DSP) to make life sound better for millions of people around the globe. Our core focus is on enabling our customers to hear more, do more and be more than they ever thought possible.
Based out of our HQ in Ballerup, you will be joining our Algorithm Development team, consisting of 11 ambitious developers who work closely with our research team to implement, verify, and validate our researchers’ amazing ideas. Our team further collaborates and shares knowledge with our sister team in the Netherlands. We are a social bunch, who enjoy social activities as well as an informal atmosphere.
Create advanced embedded software platforms
As a DSP software developer, your core responsibility will be to implement audio algorithms for our unique hearing aids. Doing so, you will become part of a sound software Scrum team that interface with researchers, audiologists, and electro-acoustic colleagues. As member of a sound team, the main challenge is to grasp the idea of the desired audio algorithms, and then design and implement these under strict power and memory constraints on our own proprietary DSP.
Specifically, you will:

Electrical engineer with a flair for signal processing and embedded software
With your fairly social nature, you will fit right into our organization where we work in agile teams with a strong focus on teamwork. Furthermore, you thrive when giving and receiving feedback in an informal environment. Lastly, you are good at interacting and communicating with people, including your closest coworkers in the team as well as stakeholders across the organization.
We are open to candidates fresh out of university, but also to experienced developers – we do expect that you have a background in electrical engineering or similar as well as experience with or an interest in:

- Implement, adapt, and optimize algorithms to fit our DSP platform constrained by MIPS, memory, and power consumption
- Be responsible for automated tests of your code, where the automated tests are to be used in our continuous integration pipeline
- Investigate and fix defects found in our platform
- Contribute to planning, demoing, knowledge sharing and creating retrospectives across the development teams to facilitate collaboration on common solutions
