Lead Architect - Data and Analytics

The Digital Strategy and Architecture department is strengthening their way of working under agile principles and the Lead Architect will be a key driver in the Agile Release Teams (ART).
One of the capabilities in the department is Product Development covering Analytics, Cloud, Integrations & Data Development and headed by the Capability Owner.
The Lead Architect is part of the Product Development capability and will report to a dual leadership.
Today’s enterprises are leveraging data platform architectures to enable new ways to empower analytics, business intelligence, machine learning and artificial intelligence. LEO Pharma is currently building Data Platform to be able to provide data-as-a-service in the cloud. The company is leveraging the latest Cloud (AWS/Azure) and Snowflake services/products to build a cutting edge, highly scalable and cost-effective platform.
Scope of the role:
As Lead Architect Data & Analytics you are managing existing data resources, implement new technologies and tooling to further enable science and analytics, as well as driving scalable data sharing practices. You own the data environments, integrate with new technologies, and oversee the development of new processes that support teams across the enterprise.
You have the responsibility to drive the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and mentoring of an engineering team responsible for the Data Platform to provide data-as-a-service for Performance Management and Advanced Analytics solutions.
You lead a high performing and engaging team of Data Engineers, Data- and Solution Architects.
Furthermore, you work across the company on data ingestion, curation, cataloguing, governance, and consumption by different internal groups. This done in close collaboration with Product Management, Enterprise Architects, Data Owners and consumers throughout the company.
Your qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- Scrum and agile enthusiast
- Proven data infrastructure design and implementation capabilities and use your drive to deliver results
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks of varying priority and deliver with quality
- Brings high energy to motivate the teams and proven track record of successfully leading software engineering teams
- Strong (written and verbal) communication and project management skills
