In this challenging two-year graduate position, you will contribute directly to Ambu’s success within the development of our exciting single-use endoscopes, focusing on software development in the display unit connected to the endoscope.You will participate in securing our ongoing dedication to quality software and you will be part of an effective innovation culture with a tradition for fast completion of projects. This means there will be a visible link between your results and Ambu’s growth. As a consequence, you will experience many phases of product development during your two-year graduate program.
You will be part of a dynamic innovation culture characterised by a strong team spirit. Our Global Innovation team consists of more than 300 people located at our innovation sites in Ballerup (Denmark), Augsburg (Germany) and Penang (Malaysia).
A graduate program with responsibilities.
As a Software Development Graduate at Ambu, you will have a unique opportunity to get a holistic view of the entire product development process – from the early explorative phases to product launch. We cannot promise you that you will be actively involved in all phases. However, you will work in several of our product development areas – on modules and in projects – and take on different roles during your work. In addition, you will also have other tasks related to the departments to ensure that you get a holistic view of how we develop a medical device. We offer a challenging and fun two-year graduate program where you will be an important player on the innovation team. You will participate in securing our ongoing dedication to bringing new quality products to the market. During the graduate program, you will join four different teams:
In between one of the rotations you might have the opportunity to travel and work with one of our partners overseas.
You will have a mix of assignments depending on the team and you will be involved in software development issues related to product development. The Ambu graduate program starts in September 2022 and you become a permanent employee from day one. At the end of the graduate program, you may continue your career in Ambu, most likely in one of the areas that you worked with during your two years.
Team player with high technical skills
We are looking for an energetic graduate who wants to kick start their career and is willing to go the extra mile for a promising career in the MedTech industry.
It is a requirement that you are about to graduate, or that you have graduated no more than 2 years ago, with a relevant software/engineering Master's degree. Additionally, you have have excellent academic achievements from your studies.
As a person you are rounded, curious and hardworking with outstanding interpersonal skills. In Global Innovation we are dependent on good team spirit and working relationships so being a team player who have a strong drive and passion is vital for the position. You are well-structured with strong analytical skills, and you have the ability to go into details when it is appropriate and to take a more holistic view when it is required.
As you will be working with users across the world it is vital that you are fluent in written and oral English.

- Application Software Module Development: Participate in developing the applications installed on our Displaying Units. It can be part of the graphical user interface and the image processing implementation.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): Participate in developing the AI applications installed on our Displaying Units. It can be algorithm development, implementation and code optimisation.
- Enterprise Architecture & Strategic Technology Solutions: Participate in developing the cloud solutions that connects to our Displaying Units. It can be cloud applications and cloud architecture.
- Display Unit Test & Verification: Participate in testing of our Displaying Units. It can be developing test methods, creating test protocols and performing SW and HW testing on our systems.
