Software Engineer
Are you innovative, can you develop and integrate new processes including your own ideas for microelectronic production test systems? If yes, we have an exciting job opportunity for you, where you can bring development from idea into real life production.
Demant Enterprise A/S in Ballerup is our Center of Excellence regarding automated production using the latest surface mount technologies (SMT). New amplifier designs are frequently released, (e.g. for Oticon’s latest hearing aids) and consequently new production equipment and technologies are necessary.
We seek a Test Development Engineer to join our team. The team is responsible for developing core technology solutions, which can be implemented at our micro-SMT production at Demant.
The Job
You will be a part of a team of 6 hardware and software engineers that work with high flexibility – and at the same time be a part of a large organization. Our focus is on developing better, faster and more robust production test systems.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Developing and implementing production programs for electrical tests of our new amplifiers by using LabVIEW and TestStand
- Support development of hardware test interfaces and measurement system
- Support our main production support team as an expert and giving support to the production test systems
- Implementing new versions of our main Software tools by specifying, implementing, trail running and giving feedback to the developers
- Maintenance of the production test systems
- Develop report systems for presenting results of the production test runs on large data sets
- Conducting code reviews
- Writing automatic and unit tests
- Participate in various projects both New Product Introductions early stage but also various business projects representing software perspective
You can expect to work with a wide variety of tasks and challenges covering our site in Ballerup and if needed our amplifier production in Stettin, Poland. You will communicate and cooperate with a lot of different people, mainly internal colleagues, but also colleagues from other Demant locations and external partners.
Your experience
We are open for experienced engineer as well as recently graduated student who just starts engineering career. Nevertheless, we expect that you have a relevant education or knowledge – e.g. engineering with focus on software, electronics or automation. Furthermore, you have interest in programming in LabVIEW, TestStand and C#. If you have experience with one or more of the following systems it will be a plus: SQL databases, the development of C# applications, and knowledge of analogue, LF and HF measurement as well as PXI instrumentation.
It is important that you have an open and positive mindset and are flexible to change course, if required by the circumstances. You will have a voice to shape the future testing for hearing aids that will help millions of people who are struggling with hear loss. You have good cooperation skills to use in your daily work with colleagues in the team. You can prioritize between different tasks to reach your own and our common goals. You have an analytic and structured approach to your work methods - with attention to details. It will be considered as an advantage if you have work experience as a Test Engineer within electrical manufacturing.
You are fluent in English and/or Danish.
