Can you crack problems and write code – and vice versa?
At NOV Flexibles, we design and manufacture some of the most advanced flexible pipes in the world for the offshore oil and gas industry. To do so, we employ .NET-based software developed and maintained in-house by our Software Development Department. Now, we are looking for a Software Developer who enjoys coding, immersing him- or herself in a problem and leveraging a scientific and analytical mindset to find and design the software solutions that will boost the efficiency of our business processes and engineering analyses.
Qualifications
Independently analytical
As a self-starter with good communicative and analytical skills, you are quick to grasp the needs of an internal client – either through direct conversation or in a briefing. You then manage requirement specifications, deadlines and the actual coding. In addition, you handle documentation and training of users in the software.
Enthusiastic coder
Your main qualification is your scientific education (at least M.Sc.), your methodical mindset and your analytical skills. Furthermore, you must be able to conduct interviews to understand the requirements of a given client. It is essential that you enjoy coding, but it doesn’t matter if it’s in C#, Python or another language. We’ll train you as required.
