Would you like to be the agile frontrunner in an organisation starting the agile journey, and do you love to be responsible for creating environments where teams can grow, form and perform. Then this role as Scrum Master at DLG could be your next challenge, where you get the chance to tackle an important role in involving the business in building an agile and fastmoving culture.
You will join DLG Group’s IT Solutions team which consists of approx. 30 internal solution consultants and developers. We cooperate cross-border and are located in both Denmark and Germany. Our team will play a key role in a new SAP S/4 programme, being responsible for designing, building and implementing the future solutions.
SAP has been the core business solution in both DLG and our German company HaGe for several years, and we are about to merge these into a new group common S/4 HANA solution including most SAP modules like MM, SD, QM, WM, PP-PI, FI/CO, eWM, PO, BW, BO and 3rd party transportation solution as CarLo.
Your tasks and responsibilities
As a Scrum Master in DLG, you will be the agile and passionate frontrunner in the organization. You will play a key role in implementing agile processes for implementation of the S/4 programme as well as for parallel solution enhancements. As such, your primary responsibility will be to establish an environment, where the teams can grow and perform. You will guide and protect 2-3 teams with both IT and business participants so they can be healthy and self-driven with focus on delivery and efficiency. You ensure that the teams live the agile values and principles and adhere to the processes and practices that they have agreed to use. Besides that, you will facilitate workshops and discussions making sure that nothing is left untouched to get the job done.
Typical tasks would be:
- Guiding and coaching the agile teams and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to meet customer expectations.
- Facilitate effective agile sessions, e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives
- Supporting Product Owners in building and managing the backlog, especially with respect to ongoing project break downs & high level planning
- Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example
- Facilitating getting the work done without forcing, assigning or dictating the work.
- Keep information about team progress visible and transparent
- Raise and handle dependencies across agile teams
- Assessing the Agile/Scrum Maturity level of the teams and organization and coaching teams to higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable pace
What we expect from you
Ideally you have between 2-5 years of relevant experience with a scrum master role working with one or more IT teams. Preferably your team(s) include both IT and business participants. You have the ability to understand both technical and business issues to facilitate proper actions. You hold a relevant university degree, but most of all you have used your scrum skills in a fast-moving environment – maybe also working with distributed teams. Preferably, you are a certified scrum master. You have tested your toolbox, your own servant-leader role and you know your way around the agile framework, facilitating agile ceremonies. You may have worked as Agile Coach, Product Owner or as a Scrum Master. If you have experience in working in a project or environment it will be a clear advantage.
You have a passion for making a difference, a true Agile mindset and you believe in the value an agile organisation can create.
You are a team player and have excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally. You like to interact with specialists at all levels, and you adapt well to change. We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English and Danish. German skills are an advantage.
In this position you will have the possibility to work from our offices in either Fredericia or Aarhus.
