We are looking for web developers who want to join our vision and create the best travel platform out there. We are employing both part-time and full-time developers. Equity is achievable.
WHO ARE WE?
We are Motes, a 3-year old company that was founded on ITU. We believe in giving people authentic and local travel experiences – and more interesting stories to tell. Therefore we have created a mobile web app that invites curious travelers to explore their destination in a gamified format. As a user you do this by unlocking "Motes" which are hidden stories bound to specific places. To unlock the Motes you have to be close, encouraging physical exploration of the city.
We work with Destination Marketing Organizations (e.g. VistCopenhagen) and have partnerships in the four largest cities in Denmark as well as Bologna in Italy. Our mission is to expand our platform across the world and provide travelers with good stories everywhere. To do so we need more creative people who loves travel tech. Could that be you?
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a structured developer who can help us create the travel platform of the century. Preferably, you will have strong analytical capabilities and an education within software development. Experience with Angular (Typescript), Firebase (Google Cloud), and web apps is preferred. If you also like to drink beers and have fun that is a plus!
A prerequisite for getting the job is that you have a passion for entrepreneurship – being part of a startup requires that you are able to motivate yourself and contribute to a shared dream.
WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING WITH?
You will work closely with our CEO and CTO to further develop the platform. Currently, we are in the midst of developing a module that allows citizens to check in to parks in Copenhagen. The idea is that by tracking the number of people in parks while giving them an overview of usage across the city, we can minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Unlike most other COVID-19 projects we do not track the user and only use data which is given voluntarily. The project is backed by Copenhagen Municipality and is expected to launch over the summer. Both usability as well as data analysis is at the heart of the project. The final product is expected to gain a large number of users as it will be pushed heavily by the City of Copenhagen.
