In this role, you will be part of LogPoint's CTO office at their HQ in Copenhagen. You will be leading the architectural work on a cloud solution that ingests millions of events per second as a part of LogPoint’s SIEM platform. You will be responsible for building a distributed system that is able to ask complicated questions of the data, perhaps in a streaming fashion or through batch queries over extended periods of historical data. The solution must meet requirements pertaining to scalability, availability, reliability, maintainability and security. Since it is in an early development stage, you will play a vital part in designing and developing business critical software. Finding the right balance between the use of off-the-shelf solutions and tailor-made LogPoint technology will be crucial to succeed.
As the technical decision maker, you will have a say in the choice of technologies, design and team members. You will collaborate with software engineers across several development departments and work closely with the Product Management and other parts of the business to understand and clarify requirements.
You will be working with:
• Architectural design
• Extremely data-intensive systems
• Hands-on development / code contributions
• Experimentation and proof-of-concept development
• Cloud technologies
• Guiding, coaching and mentoring other developers
Professionally, you have an academic background in computer science, or a similar technical or scientific field, and have at least 7-10 years of experience in software development/architecture. Experience as a technical lead is required to succeed in this role. You have worked with a range of software development practices and technologies, and you have designed and built data-intensive, distributed systems. LogPoint operates in the space of open-source tech stacks, and a solid experience with Java (or other JVM languages) will be a plus but is not a requirement. Similarly, good knowledge of the traditional Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and the like) would be desirable. We do not expect you to have experience with SIEM or cybersecurity.
