Shark Gaming develops and produces high-end gaming equipment. We sell it under our own brand directly to end users, eSports associations and companies via our Nordic web shops. We are growing and have high ambitions for further international expansion. To support the journey, we are currently looking for a sharp and creative frontend engineer.
Tech shark that smells blood
You will be developing our new online store in Magento 2, ensuring a first class look and feel and a pleasing user journey. You will have a key role in building custom solutions for our shop to ensure our ambitious goals as a nordic market leader in gaming systems.
You will be a part of the development team which consists of our CTO, you and a backend engineer.
The main tasks of the position are:
We expect that you have a strong background in object oriented php, and have been building custom solutions preferable in ecommerce.
You are insatiable on web development, new trends and clean code. And have the ability to keep a cool mind, maintain structure and overview in a fast-paced scale up.
It will be a big plus if you are a gamer (i.e. on a hobby level), so you understand and have insight into our world. Furthermore, you have:

- Building our new platform in Magento 2 in collaboration with our backend engineer
- Working with continuous integrations and clean code
- Ensure scalability for rapid international expansion
- Integrate third party plugins and integrations
- Build custom solutions for webshop and configuration options
- Monitor and ensure professional performance and best practise page scores
- Ensure a grea end-to-end customer journey
We expect that you have a strong background in object oriented php, and have been building custom solutions preferable in ecommerce.
You are insatiable on web development, new trends and clean code. And have the ability to keep a cool mind, maintain structure and overview in a fast-paced scale up.
It will be a big plus if you are a gamer (i.e. on a hobby level), so you understand and have insight into our world. Furthermore, you have:
- 5 years experience with frontend development
- Experience with ReactJS or similar
- Master HTML/CSS to the fingertips
- Worked with the continuous delivery approach
- Worked in Git/flow
- Experience with REST APIs
- Passion for building eye candy websites
- Experience with page speed optimization
A big plus if you have:
- Experience with the Magento 1-2 platform
- Certification in Magento development
- Amazing web design capabilities
- Experience with UI/UX
- Knowledge of PHP
