Are you looking for an exciting hands-on learning opportunity to supplement your studies? Join us an as Intern in Novo Nordisk and get an opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues from many different nationalities within various fields. The working hours are flexible from min. 18 to maximum 37 hours a week enabling you to combine an internship with lectures at university, project work or writing your Master’s thesis. It is an opportunity for a unique learning experience and a change to turn theories into practice.
About the department
Global IT Operations (GITO) Infrastructure Connectivity is responsible for the global network and AD. The team consist of both IT Architects and Service Managers located mainly in Denmark, India and US. It is exciting times in the connectivity area and a lot of new technologies such as Software Defined Network is being rolled out in the organisation.
You will be assigned independent responsibility for your tasks. To maximise your and the department’s learning from the internship you will team up with experienced colleagues, who share their knowledge and experience with you, while you share your modern way of working and approach to problem solving. We are hiring a group of four Interns for the autumn 2019, and there will be learning sessions and presentations that you will be doing in the group of Interns, e.g. kick-off presentation of yourself as well as learning presentations to the management team in Global IT Operations.
Your workplace would primarily be in Bagsværd, Denmark.
The position
Can you help us with doing things differently in the Connectivity team? We have a lot of new tools and data and now we want to connect them in new ways and formats. We need someone who can support us in creating user stories, business cases and pilots together with the business, automate tasks which are today done manually, develop products like dashboards and apps. Coding skills would be a benefit. As part of the internship, the candidate will work with and be introduced to important areas of managing IT in the pharmaceutical industry, such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, GxP regulations and project management.
- Internship period: 6 months
- Working hours: Flexible (min. 18 and max. 37 hours a week)
- Start date: September 2019
- Internships are remunerated if your education track allows
- A Danish full-time work permit is required
Qualification
We are looking for students who are in their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. We are looking for an Intern with passion for IT Infrastructure and the interplay between business and IT. An ideal candidate is a student in their first or second year of their Master's studies. You are currently studying your Master's degree within IT, Web Technology, Communication or another relevant field. You must have strong communication and general IT/Microsoft Office capabilities. It is a benefit if you have insight into the corporate use of IT, ITIL processes, process optimisation, agile project management and organisation change management.
We expect the candidate to be service-minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. Ability to manage a large volume of tasks (with supervision), fluency in both oral and written English, sound personal judgement and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. In addition, you bring a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.
