At our HQ in Humlebæk, you join our newly established Embedded Systems team in R&D. Here, you will play an important role in our efforts to incorporate embedded systems into our products.
In R&D, we are responsible for setting the direction for the product development across the organisation, and doing so, we help make a difference in the lives of people with intimate health care needs. Define the product
As System Architect & Integrator, you will work on our Embedded Systems project, which is a new area of interest in Coloplast. Here, you will be responsible for defining the product, having users’ needs as a starting point and translating those to system architectural design.
You will describe functionalities, determining how they should be integrated and tested to confirm the correct implementation. Doing so, you will work closely with Product Management as well as our development partners. In short, you will:

You have experience with system integration
On a personal level, you are outgoing and proactive, and you take a highly structured approach to your tasks. Teamwork comes naturally, and you understand that collaboration is the key to success in our work.
Your solid interpersonal skills ensure that you interact easily at all levels of an organisation and towards partners. Likewise, you have got the ability to understand the user needs and translate them into technical specifications that can be easily grasped by our external partners.

Define the product
As System Architect & Integrator, you will work on our Embedded Systems project, which is a new area of interest in Coloplast. Here, you will be responsible for defining the product, having users’ needs as a starting point and translating those to system architectural design.
You will describe functionalities, determining how they should be integrated and tested to confirm the correct implementation. Doing so, you will work closely with Product Management as well as our development partners. In short, you will:
- Define, document and manage product requirements in collaboration with Product Management
- Translate user requirements into a system architectural design based on optimal system partitioning between electronics, software and electro-mechanics
- Set the technical direction for external development partners
- Establish system integration and test plan for the fully performing product end to end
- Create and maintain the prototype build plan
- Monitor and control progress internally and with development partners

You have experience with system integration

- You are specialised in Embedded Systems and have a BSc or an MSc in Electrical Engineering or similar
- You have experience working with complex technical R&D projects in a specialist role
- You have solid experience working as a System Integrator and/or Project Manager and have collaborated with external partners to a high degree
- You have knowledge of product development models
- You have worked with medical devices – if not, you have worked in a similarly regulated industry and have knowledge of QA and EHS systems and requirements
- You have great communications skills and are fluent in English speech and writing
