You will join our Asset Management and M&E of Bridges and Tunnels department
As our new Corrosion Engineer you will be part of a department of more than 20 highly dedicated employees in our Copenhagen office, all ready to welcome you into the team and help you develop. We work as a global Ramboll corrosion competence center closely together with a large variety of other departments across both organizational and geographical boundaries in Ramboll.
The department is part of Ramboll’s Transport division in Denmark. Ramboll has been intensively involved in corrosion protection projects from design to on-site measurements in many industries – such as the offshore wind energy sector (foundations), oil & gas (offshore structures and pipelines), infrastructure (bridges and tunnels), and buildings. Therefore, we have the insight and knowhow to assist in almost every aspect within corrosion. We are seeking a talented and ambitious engineer, probably with a background within Civil/structural, Mechanical or Electrochemical Engineering, to bring new knowledge into our corrosion competence center and our department in general.
Based on your skills and interests, the job could include everything from developing corrosion protection strategies, design of cathodic protection on both new and existing structures, with strong focus on design, drafting of coating specifications, corrosion monitoring and also inspecting and field tests of corrosion problems of existing structures. We assist all Rambolls markets, so you will work with a variety of exciting structure and corrosion related challenges with people with many different professional backgrounds.
You will explore the exciting processes in Danish and international projects across all stages from planning through to construction and be working with highly talented engineers from Ramboll’s offices all over the world, who are at the forefront of innovative design techniques and who have worked on numerous significant projects.

- A Master/Bachelor’s Degree within engineering or similar
- Skills within the use of state-of-the-art FEM modelling software – we use Comsol for our corrosion modelling jobs (not a requirement)
- Experience within some or all of the following subjects is not a prerequisite but will be an advantage: Field inspections, coatings, analysis of corrosion related problems, stray current analysis
- Experience within material science and deterioration mechanisms
- Fluency in English, spoken as well as written since many of your possible future colleagues and clients only speak English. It will be an advantage if you speak one of the Nordic languages
