You will join our Global IT Enterprise Architecture department
As our new Solution Architect, you will play a global strategic role delivering new IT solutions offered to Ramboll’s global business units. Your work will help improve and grow our tech-enabled consultancy business through fit-for-purpose solutions. You will be part of a small but growing team working out of the headquarter in Copenhagen. We have a strong collaboration culture and retain high employee satisfaction.

As our new Solution Architect, you will play a global strategic role delivering new IT solutions offered to Ramboll’s global business units. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Creating and documenting large and complex solution designs in global projects
- Take active part in vendor selections, workshops
- Manage stakeholders and their expectations, advising them on the right solutions in correspondence with the business strategic objectives and technology strategy
- Work closely with our IT security, project managers and the other IT departments to ensure compliance and alignment
- Collaborate closely with our innovative digitalization teams, advising them on future-proof solution designs
- Review designs and assist in creating guidelines for external collaborators and suppliers
- Support us staying relevant by regularly evaluating existing and upcoming architecture patterns, best practices and emerging technology
- Contribute to our enterprise architecture strategy, underlying strategic initiatives and roadmap
Your starting point for constant growth
From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. in Computer Science or similar)
- In-depth architecture knowledge and 3+ years of experience working with solution design and architectural principles
- 8+ years of experience working professionally with a technical background, preferably as a senior developer
- Proven track record in architecting and managing implementations of applications/systems in large and complex global companies
- Broad knowledge of Microsoft products and major vendors delivering solutions on the Microsoft platform
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
- The ability to build relationships and trust, so your business colleagues see you as their partner, focusing on creating value for the business
- The ability to understand and navigate a complex, relationship-based matrix organization to achieve key objectives
- Being able to adopt a team-oriented approach to solving problems
