As our new student you will join a team playing a central role in a growing agile company. The team is based on a solid understanding of business needs and IT capabilities and we interact with key stakeholders in the entire organization. Driving the strategic direction for IT based on insights of our IT performance and governance around the IT investments becomes more and more important and we need your assistance for providing the transparence into the IT performance based on the way we are working agile with Scrum and Kanban.
We have an open and trusting environment with diversity in gender, age, and skills. Humor is extremely important. We are a very busy team with a high workload; however, flexibility goes both ways and helps us balance great challenges with a fulfilling life outside of Milestone. You will report to the Director of Business Engagement and Architecture.
Your schedule will be flexible according to your studies, but we are expecting that you will work approximately 15-20 hours a week with possibility for more hours during busy periods and holidays.
Responsibilities
By nature, the jobs for the student workers are a mixture of recurring and ad-hoc assignments:
- Monthly IT Performance Power Point report for CFO corner, based on different
sources such as
-Financial number - Excel
-Time to value, on IT development activities – Azure DevOps
-IT Security – PowerBI IT service level to rest of organisation – ZenDesk - Analysis of investment in IT Areas in collaboration with Finance - Excel & PowerBI
- Ad hoc analysis and presentations related to
-governance of IT
-transparency into investments
-IT prioritizations
Preferred skills
- Ideally, the candidate is at the beginning of the master’s degree and can come from many different backgrounds e.g., finance, economics, or IT.
- Strong data- and analytic mindset
- Good experience with IT, MS Office super-user - especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence Tools. Preferably Power BI.
- Fluency in English (orally and in writing)
- A sound interest for the commercial business.
- Socially strong – is outgoing with the ability to connect and create trust
- A proactive, solution-oriented, and structured approach to new tasks
- Curious and interested in sharing knowledge
Proven competencies within the following areas of expertise are preferred
- Foster teamwork to work cooperatively and effectively with others
- Communicate effectively: Speak, listen, and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner
- Possessing the ability to ensure execution as agreed and on time – “getting things done”
- Self-starter, flexible and energetic
- High energy level and willing to go the extra mile.
Your new team and department
Business Engagement and Architecture a part of Global IT, ensures that Milestone’s business capabilities are adequately supported with digital tools and is driving the digitization of Milestone. Driven out of the business priorities we are providing transparency of priority and deliveries from Global IT to the functions in Milestone as well as being a partner for sparring on technology and solutions in Milestone. We are bringing clarity and direction for Global IT on business needs, architecture, and technology, so it possible to create solutions that are solving the business needs for operating Milestone and selling our Products.
