DTU Electro, Automation and Control (AUT) is an internationally leading academic environment spanning the science disciplines of automatic control, robotics and autonomous systems. Applied computer science is a common platform for our activities.

With the ShippingLab project, the Danish maritime community initiates an ambitious platform for maritime research, development and innovation. The goal of the ShippingLab’s autonomy work package is to create Denmark's first autonomous and environmentally friendly ship.

We are looking for a qualified and highly motivated student assistant to maintain HMI software and participate in integration testing within the ShippingLab autonomy work package.

Student Assistant for maintenance of software for human-machine interface

We seek a student assistant for part-time software development during the remaining period of 2022. We expect applicants to be dedicated, interested in taking responsibility and result oriented.

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain and develop software for human-machine interface for decision support.
  • Participate in test and validation on board.


Who you are

  • You have a relevant background in Software Development, Software Technology or similar.


Your experience:

  • Knowledge of software development in C and C++ for backend and embedded functionality - including compilers and debugging.

Salary and terms of employment
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for IT employees (Prosa) in the service of the state.

The position is part time (15 hours per week). The period of employment is 1 November 2022 or soon thereafter, until 31 December 2022.

Your place of work will be at DTU Lyngby Campus.

While the goals of the project are purely civilian, we use technology that is ITAR restricted, and only applicants who are citizens of NATO countries, Australia, South Korea or Japan are eligible for this position.
