We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to lead this journey by establishing how CI/CD and SaaS will enable delivery of new functionality to our world-leading radar systems, self-defense solutions and other systems. Systems which traditionally live a life disconnected from the Internet.
Key responsibilities
The Role
The role as Lead Dev Ops will be rooted in our Data Science- and AI team, in which we have a need for enabling continuously learning from data and pushing refined AI models to the customer systems. Our focus is “MLOps” - especially how we securely collect data from remote sites, develop machine learning micro services, and deploy them back to the customer sites. From a DevOps perspective your mission is to ensure that this workflow can be as productive as possible.
Terma’s software development teams are already well-versed in continuous integration and establishing the “last mile” by delivering new functionality to fielded products will be the core opportunity and challenge.
As a lead you work with a large degree of autonomy guided by our strategic goals. You are expected to be able to communicate clearly with people outside your own field. Furthermore, you will have a significant impact on the choices of platforms, architectures and tools used across our organization.
The position comes with significant room to grow - and impact on how Terma delivers value to our end-users in the future.
Education & Experience
You possess a degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
While your specific skills and experiences may be a mix or subset of what we need, we expect you to be ready to learn new technologies on a regular basis.
We are looking for a colleague with solid experience within the following areas:

If you are conversational in Java and/or C# it will help you to interface with our other development teams.
The position is in Denmark, and you must be eligible for a Danish security clearance at the level of DNK Hemmelig/NATO Secret.

Key responsibilities
- Lead DevOps initiatives in our R&D division
- Develop and prototype DevOps-centered applications and architectures
- Provide advice on DevOps methodologies, tools, and platforms to our product and project development teams
- Package and maintain our infrastructure/platform codebase for AI/data services
- Coordinate with our development teams on how to integrate the platform with our product lines
- Help build services for our on-premises Kubernetes and HPC clusters
- Introduce edge and cloud architectures to Terma’s products
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in our IT department

- Programming and debugging in scripting languages
- Secure cloud architectures
- Secure Edge and IoT architectures
- Linux system administration
- CI/CD pipelines and tools (I.e., Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins, or cloud equivalent)
- Containers and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Scriptable orchestration and provisioning (Ansible, Puppet or similar)
- Webservices and micro service management
If you have experience with one or more of the following it is considered a plus:
- High Performance Computing (SLURM, User-space containers, GPUs, RDMA)
- Administrating data science stacks such as JupyterHub, Apache Spark and Apache Airflow
- Data storage architectures for Big Data
