Novo Nordisk is currently conducting a couple of major strategic programs, one for building the Global Research Data Repository and Analytics Platform while the other on Digitalizing the way in which they capture Global Research Data. They work in DevOps teams in an Agile dynamic environment.

About the department
R&DIT Global Research Solutions supports the strategic digital transformation of their global research units at Novo Nordisk A/S which is needed to realize the R&D strategy.
Global Research Solutions is responsible for maintaining and developing the Data, Middleware and IT infrastructure used by the Global Research Units across Novo Nordisk A/S on-premise and in the cloud. And they participate in the major strategic IT programs within Global Research.
The department take pride in being experts in IT infrastructure and at the same time having experience and understanding of how the researchers use the platforms, data and the compute power they make available.
About the position
As a Junior IT Cloud Engineer, you will work with building the future Scientific Platform. You will participate in their DevOps teams in an Agile environment and your responsibility is to build new capabilities both in the Cloud as well as on-premise.
Further, you will have responsibility for the operation, maintenance and support of the existing data center, on-premise and cloud platforms and bringing them into the future.
Their scientific users are situated globally, and you will be working in an international environment with colleagues around the globe.
You are a good communicator across functions, levels, and cultures. You can listen as well as understand the IT and business complexities and be able to translate these into opportunities. Furthermore, you are proactive, curious, and interested in working with AWS cloud services.
Novo Nordisk is well on the way in adopting DevOps and agile principles which involve automation, application of various operations tools, and infrastructure/configuration as code amongst others.
Therefore, they are looking for a person that is excited to work with new technologies and able to quickly learn new concepts. You are team-oriented and have a strong personal drive to achieve goals. You are also service-minded and thrive in a busy environment. Finally, you have professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

- Development, operations, maintenance, and support of an IT infrastructure platform that works in tandem with standard applications.
- Ensuring continued stability, availability, and performance of the platform in a DevOps setup through continuous improvement.
- A structured collaboration with colleagues working in Global Research and scientific computing whose work and processes are supported by the platform.
Qualifications:
You are a good communicator across functions, levels, and cultures. You can listen as well as understand the IT and business complexities and be able to translate these into opportunities.
- As minimum, you have a Bachelor (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business).
- You are proactive, curious, and interested in working with AWS cloud services.
- +2 years of working experience OR a master’s degree in a relevant.
- Experience with AWS Cloud
- Interest in working with IT Infrastructure.
- If you have worked as e.g. IT Support or used IT heavily as part of your studies, it is an advantage.
