Overview

Do you often find yourself being the most structured, flow- and quality-minded design engineer in your semiconductor design team? Are you passionate about CAD tools and automation?

You may very well be the new secret weapon in our mixed signal design team.

Responsibilities

As our new Design Flow Engineer you will play a key role in improving the quality & efficiency of our IC design flow. Your focus will be on continuous improvement of our flow, its tools and systems automation, but you will also be working with the design, layout and verification of transistor-level analogue & digital circuit blocks.

You will join an international R&D team, liaising with external tool vendors and working closely with our own internal Design Automation team. Together we are designing world class ICs for active interconnect products such as CDRs, TIAs and Laser Drivers. The chips are used in fiber optical transceivers in 400Gb/s networks in the world’s fastest super computers and hyper scale datacenters. You will be working with our Active Interconnect Engineering Design team located in Roskilde.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Concept, creation and maintenance of IC design systems, in cooperation with design and layout teams
  • Change/Revision control policies and flows
  • Implementation of systems by use of tools and scripting
  • Verification and release of flows and scripts; continuous improvement and adjustment, in close cooperation with users
  • Implementation of test benches for your flows and scripts, enabling regression tests before release to the users
  • Circuit design using Cadence
  • Conducting and participating in design reviews

Qualifications

You are quality- and process oriented and pro-active, with a curious/open mind towards new solutions.

You meet the following qualifications, as a minimum:

  • A Master’s Degree in electrical engineering or similar

Minimum 2 years’ experience working with analogue/digital IC design or SW development build systems
