Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturer of intelligent metering solutions. We experience significant demand for our products and focus massively on development and production of intelligent metering equipment and systems for energy and water consumption. We are therefore looking for a Solution Architect, who can contribute to the development of our future solutions.
With a direct reference to our Head of Solution Architecture, you will become a part of our Solution Architect team consisting of 10 dedicated colleagues. Together we are responsible for developing IT architecture suited for our customers’ needs. We strive to set the technical agenda in Kamstrup, why we work with some of the newest technologies. Therefore, we are working towards a microservice based application landscape, and you will play a key role in this transformation.
A job with focus on architecture and new technologies
In the role as Solution Architect your main responsibility will be to design and develop new customer solutions. You will be involved in the full design life cycle from idea to the final adaptation. This includes assessing and applying new technologies and tools in order to implement a future-proof system platform. Furthermore, you will create new features in close collaboration with product management and development teams.
More specifically your tasks will be to:
Personality matters
We are looking for an ambitious and competent Solution Architect with a drive and a pioneering attitude. Moreover, you have a professional background in Engineering, Computer Science or similar and at least 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Software - or Systems Architect. As we work with C#, Kafka, .Net Core, SQL, React.js, knowledge of these will be considered a great advantage.
As a person you are driven by a desire to make a change and you are not afraid of taking the lead. Furthermore, you are good at stakeholder management why you manage to motivate others to follow you. Lastly, you have a natural authority by virtue of your skills and experience, but you also understand that good solutions are created in daily cooperation with your colleagues.
You are fluent in English both written and oral.

- Collaborate with product management and development teams in the creation and implementation of new products and solutions
- Build and maintain the solution and reference architecture together with the other Architects
- Give input and define projects to the architectural roadmaps to ensure system evolution
- Sparring with other Architects on architectural abstractions, frameworks etc.
