Are you passionate about balancing leadership, engineering and technology development in a product development environment? Have you proven the ability to build up and run an innovative and efficient SW-development organisation where keywords like speed, data and ecosystems are familiar to you?
And do you have a proven track record in creating transparency, predictability and a high uniform quality of deliveries? Then you might be our new Vice President for Product & Application, which is part of our Research & Development organisation developing software for advanced control systems and functionality for decentralised power production.
You will join a highly experienced leadership team reporting to the CTO for Research & Development in DEIF, and it will be your responsibility - through great leadership – to develop and lead the Product & Application function. The Job:
As Vice President for Product & Application you will be responsible for defining and executing strategies for the function and building a strong management team. This entails being part of defining the strategy of being best in class in bringing products fast to the market and supporting the continuous implementation of agile work processes. You will also be involved in make, buy or partnership recommendations to ensure an optimal use of resources within the Research & Development Organisation.
The Product & Application function is responsible for software development across products and ensuring the right architecture for delivering high quality and innovative solutions for applications, framework, HMI, internal test systems and upload and configuration tools. The function has four departments focused on New development, Continuous Improvement, HMI and SW Test & Delivery. You will be leading app. 40 employees with three managers reporting to you.
The person:
You probably have an engineering background but especially you have a desire to work with business, technology and people. You are experienced in leading leaders and you have a good track record and educational background within product- and software development.
As a person you thrive when you work in a technical challenging environment close to business and customers and at a high strategic level without compromising the daily operation. Besides teamwork, delivering on time, proactiveness, challenging “as is”, building high performing teams and likes working across the value chain with key stakeholders, you are passionate about leading and motivating others.
What DEIF offers:
The core of our values is respect for the individual, ambition to become better at all times, and an understanding of our organisation as a whole. We believe that the values grow the best in an informal working environment characterised by freedom with responsibility and a flat organisational structure, where many tasks are performed in close cooperation across the organisation.
DEIF is very concerned with corporate social responsibility, and we have a special focus on doing sustainable business. We have introduced our own code of conduct based on 10 principles, which are based on internationally recognised conventions on human rights, labour rights, safety & environment and anti-corruption.
