Program Manager, IT Infrastructure & Operations

You will become an essential part of our IT Infrastructure & Operations solutions in one of the largest companies in Denmark. The foundation behind the program is to establish a clear structure for governance, process, mandate and organisation in Global IT.
We are looking for an IT Program Manager, who will be responsible for establishing a robust and secure IT infrastructure but also one that is still scalable. You will as Program Manager be responsible for working with our IT Infrastructure project managers who drive the IT infrastructure projects and ensure that we review a transformation towards a global mindset and cultural change in IT and in our business across our many different brands. The program is essential not only for Demant IT but for the entire Demant Group.
You will be organizing the program and making sure that our I&O projects are successfully executed and that our solutions are being implemented towards our Data centers, Demant sites, Retail and Production. Projects and implementations will be done by your colleagues in Infrastructure & Operations, but you will also have cooperation with external consultants. You will have several project managers reporting to you daily, but you will not have the managerial responsibility.
Being part of a Global Team
In this role you will be reporting to the Vice President of Infrastructure & Operations, and you will interact with many different business areas and IT departments in Denmark, Poland, United States and Asia.
Demant is a global company, with more than 14,000 global colleagues, who all use our IT solutions. You will be part of our Global IT Organization which has more than 300 employees with main hubs in Denmark, Poland, US and Australia. Your everyday will be together with the central infrastructure organization located at the Demant headquarter near Copenhagen. We deliver core infrastructure, user workplaces, and business applications across all business units at Demant.
Your Main Responsibilities
It is important that you want to work on a global level and is highly motivated by acting in the area within IT Infrastructure & Operations and have worked with IT security as a focus area.
To summarize, the key responsibilities in the role include:
- Establish a robust and secure IT infrastructure
- Build a clear structure for governance, process, mandate and Organization in IT
- Organize the I&O program and make sure that our projects are executed, and solutions are implemented.
- Ensure ongoing reporting through the program
- Lead a team of project managers to ensure they execute on deliverables
- Ensure a transparent set-up with an increased control of cost and technology
- Ensure a full implementation of the global service and support model which ensures that we use the right competences for the right tasks
You should expect 20-30 days of travelling each year.
Your Profile
In order to succeed in the job, you need to know about the technical areas in IT Infrastructure and Operations, have solid experience within IT Infrastructure, process and projects – where experience within IT Security will be a plus. Furthermore, you should be business oriented and always have a global perspective, when you work.
We expect you to have:
- Broad experience with IT Infrastructure technology, projects or consulting, and we expect minimum 5 years of experience in this area as you will be exposed to a large variety of IT infrastructure related topics – with focus on IT Security.
- General experience with IT infrastructure & operations on a technical level
- Robust communications skills and ability to work with all levels in the organization – locally and globally
- Solid project management experience from leading projects of +10 people
In your current position, you could work as a Program Manager inside an IT organization or as an IT security project leader in the consulting world.
As a person we expect you to have an outgoing personality and the desire to work independently, structuring your everyday work. You should display diplomacy and know how to navigate in and organize governance.
