Development Lead to Lifecycle Software Development
For Natus, we are looking for an experienced Software Developer with experience from the medical device industry. The role is globally oriented and offers the opportunity to work with highly specialised colleagues in Global R&D, with focus on optimising the product portfolio and developing new products that change the lives of millions.
Natus is a leading manufacturer of medical devices and software for a range of specialties, including Newborn Care, Neurology, Sleep, and the Hearing & Balance markets. Within most product lines, Natus is a market leader. The mission is to improve patient outcomes in target markets through innovative screening, diagnostic and treatment solutions. The products help improve the lives of people from birth to 100+.
As part of the Global Software Engineering team located in Taastrup, you have a global outlook, with collaboration with other sites and functions. You ensure software deliveries of highest quality and in doing so demonstrates project overview and interpersonal skills, being able to drive projects and small development teams. This year, Natus finalises a large remediation program and is now ready to launch exciting new software development projects. Besides Denmark, your development colleagues are situated in the US and India.
Development of innovative software solutions for medical devices that make a difference for many, where some of your tasks include:
- Technical Team Lead
- Be a core member of a Scrum team.
- Develop updates and new software solutions.
- Analyse software requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications that are ready for implementation while taking scalability, testability, and maintainability into account.
- Collaborate with the Software Manager, to whom you report, in creation of task estimations to support project planning.
- Create and update design documentation throughout lifecycle and review designs of others.
- Perform code reviews, supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring highest code quality.
- Work with colleagues and Software Manager to adhere to established QMS, design procedures and practices.
Your professional experience includes experience in software development from the Medical Device industry, and you are used to work with international standards such as IEC 62304 (medical device software). It is natural for you to think and act with a strong quality mindset. You are familiar with software security (e.g., secure coding), and you have high proficiency in C#, NET, WPF, Net Core, and in using source control systems. In general, you operate well with web technologies and have probably worked with both agile and waterfall methodologies.
Most likely, you are either working as a Senior Software Developer or Scrum Master in a software development team, and where you are used to and like being hands-on in the development yourself.
As a person, you are a solution-oriented, flexible, and change-oriented team player. You thrive in an environment with several stakeholders and with the ability to work with people across borders and cultures (e.g., US and India) and with colleagues from different functional work areas. You can challenge your surroundings on a detailed level, but you can also keep an overview and prioritize between tasks. In your work, you are persistent and focused on seeing a problem through from start to resolution, i.e., you take ownership.
