Senior Java Developer
for Microservices Landscape in Scale-up Company
Our client Printix wish to expand their development team, andwe are looking for a passionate Senior Java Developer who has a great interest in being part of a unique growth journey.
Printix in Herlev develops a Cloud-based Print Management Platform with lots of interesting features. Using this platform, companies can eliminate print servers and the management of print infrastructure is moved to the cloud. Printix have come a long way going global, they have grown substantially in 2021 and expands rapidly every day.
Your key responsibilities
You are involved in the entire development process from defining the architecture in cooperation with the team, coding the solution or parts of it, creating unit-tests and deploying the improvements to production. You will work with a highly skilled and experienced team of six backend Java developers as well as frontend engineers.
In Printix they release code several times a day, so it's important that you are comfortable working in a continuous delivery environment.
Printix backend runs in Azure and is developed in Java using the Spring Boot framework. It is a Microservice architecture. The Tech stack includes but is not limited to Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, Kafka, ZooKeeper, Cassandra and Elasticsearch.
Examples of tasks could be development of business logic, Cloud infrastructure and Cloud based Capture, building or expanding integration with Azure AD, payment system (Stripe), solve AI and Big Data issues, ex. building logic around professional support.
Analyzing and delivering data to the user Dashboard or analytics module and fix newly exposed bottle necks that are a result of load increase are also tasks that needs to be addressed in the near future.
Printix are planning to establish datacenters in other parts of the world, and consequently development of more infrastructure features will be necessary.
Your professional skills
- You have at least five years of experience as a Java developer, and probably have a bachelor or master's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
- You are comfortable running the code from A-Z
- Preferably, you have some Spring Boot and Cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS) experience
- It's an advantage if you have experience working in a Continuous delivery and integration environment
- You are skilled in Linux and are conscious of secure solutions
- It is an advantage if you have worked with different Cloud set-ups and SaaS
- It is equally an advantage if you have worked with some of the following: Azure, Cassandra, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, ZooKeeper and MongoDB

Printix expects you to be passionate about agile software development, pragmatic and yet structured developer. You are a skilled communicator and enjoys working closely with other people. The art of teamwork is crucial to this position.
It is important that you are good at organizing and prioritizing your work. It is an advantage if you are interested in creating and developing things and enjoy seeing the result of your work. You must also be eager to learn, and curious regarding new technologies.
