Staff Software Engineer II

On behalf of our client, Datto, Bloom IT Recruitment is looking for a highly Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team in Lyngby. You will report to the Director of Software Engineering, also located in Denmark.
About the job
As Staff Software Engineer II you will be handling significant technical challenges, as Datto works with the latest and most innovative technologies. The company is well known for being one of the absolute global leaders in their line of work.
You will be working in the Engineering team currently developing an AWS based platform that hosts security initiatives.
You will have joint responsibility for the system architecture in AWS and be a key full-stack developer.
Focus on scalability is critical as the dedicated team is building a system that handles more than 1.000.000 persistent connections to external endpoints.
You will be innovating and bringing original ideas to the technology platform through brainstorms and design sessions.
Also, you will be providing recommendations for application development best practices, documentation, standards, and for improving operational aspects of the organization.
You will be working with DevOps to ensure the system is stable and performing optimally.
About You
You are a technology enthusiast who has more than three years of experience in commercial quality software development with a proven track record.
You can contribute as part of a team but also be able to stand on your own feet and work independently.
It is a must that you have experience with AWS: Lambda functions, Kinesis, EventBridge, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, and other AWS services. Additionally, you should be skilled in Golang, Python, and TypeScript.
You have worked with system architecture, preferably in systems that process large amount of data and have a can-do approach to solving problems.
It is a plus if you have experience with gRPC, Redis, and if you have worked with collaborations tools such as Jira, Slack, or GitLap.
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
